Waterless day

They've been working on the water mains in our street (for two months, blocking it so there's only one way in) and today there's no water all day from 9-5. So after Pilates later this morning, I'm spending the rest of the day at the Brydone Hotel because lunch, comfy seats, cakes and hot drinks, and loos. I hope the waterless day went ok, at least you had notice. What does Hail Mary mean in the US then? I only know it from the prayer from catholic school

The day was fine. I would have been ok at home in retrospect.

It's some sort of American football pass which has a low chance of success. I'm halfway through the book now - all that science and humour, so much my thing!

It would have been better without the songs coming out of the speakers at far too high a volume; you know how I feel about that from my other post. You can't find a quiet place to eat these days, let alone one that also has comfortable seating. But hey, all mod cons and yummy food.

We filled up lots of bottles and I could have coped at home, given we ate lunch out. It was worth a try!
