That's the trouble with Vila, his head just won't stay adjusted. Why would Vila volunteer to put his head back in the noose, though I don't think Avon is convinced of his erasure.

I wouldn't want to go back with that lot either! And I think Vila regards it as a feature rather than a bug. ;-) Even if Avon doesn't believe him, it's a different Vila and not one he'd so easily subjugate.
