Young Miles and a hurty toe

Feb 03, 2012 20:18

Remember the Itty-Bitty-Kitty Committee kitten who got adopted by Vorkosigan fans and renamed Miles (along with sister Cordelia)? There's a picture of him curled up beside the book Young Miles in this Itty-Bitty-Kitty Committee postAnd I think I've either broken a toe or sprained it badly. OUCHIES! I did it at work when I slipped on some water in ( Read more... )

Oh no! I think you should go to A&E in work time, seeing as it was kind of their fault. Oh, but I've just thought, it's probably the weekend already where you are. In any case I hope it stops being so painful.

It happened right at the end of the work day when I was putting my cup in the dishwasher so I couldn't have gone in work time anyway. I'll go tomorrow--with a book and some earplugs because they always have the TV on. :-(

*hugs*

I suppose it could have been worse, but that's not much consolation.

True, I could have hurt my head. I must have a thick skull.

Poor hurty toe, I hope it's just a sprain (though those are bad enough.)

I think it's just a sprain; it got twisted by the sandal strap that goes between the big one and the hurt one.

Ugh, that's awful. I guess at least you didn't get hurt worse, because that sort of fall could really bust your up.

Bust my...? Back or head? Yeah, I was mostly worried about my head but I must have a thick skull. I had a sore neck when I woke up this morning but that's heaps better after some icy-hot. My back and the rest of me apart from a slightly sore elbow is fine because it all happened so fast I must have been completely relaxed when I hit which is the best thing.

Aww, Miles is a pretty cat!

And, ouch, sorry about your toe! Yeah, I'd say it's definitely a good idea to get it checked out just to make sure.

It feels better today. I now realise it just got twisted by the sandal strap that goes between the big one and that one. It does so much feel better (if visibly bruised) so I'll see how I go; the thought of hours waiting to be seen puts me right off. Greg broke his big toe a while back and they basically just said there was nothing they could do, not even strap it to the next one.

Damned sandals! :) Well, here's hoping it heals up nicely for you, then, and you don't have to get it seen to.
