Fic: Lynx Part 4 - Recollection

Dec 02, 2009 17:22

I used the challenge of last month's picowrimo to write the fourth part of my Lynx series, also known as The Big PGP. My thanks as ever go to my excellent beta-reader, astrogirl2, who found things I am ashamed to have missed. The story is on my site's fiction page, with the previous three parts in the series, and I will also load it onto the Hip Deep in Heroes Read more... )

Recollection? I had Remembering as the title and wasn't very happy with it till I thought of that. :-)

I hope you like it as much as you did the excerpts.

BTW I have 'The Queen of Attolia' waiting for me at the library, along with three other books. Library trip tomorrow, yay!

Yeah, Recollection. Remembering doesn't sound right.

woohoo! I love library trips.

All I'll be doing in this sauna weather is picking up the books I've ordered. Maybe if it's quiet, I'll have a quick look on the shelves, but all the genres are mixed in together and it's hard to find what I like. That's why I browse the catalogue online and order from that.

Vila already confused the name with the hairy aliens on Terminal, in part 1. :-)

*reading Lynx*

"I just had to admit I'm as big a bastard as he is, in my own way."

This reminds me of Moist in Going Postal when Moist thinks 'you had to be a bastard to think of it'

LOL. The name of Tarrant's ship. I love your ship names. So funny. And he doesn't answer the question about tunic rippers. XD

Gosh, Avon's back to his earlier self. He just grinned. *glee* Good to know Orac's still known as a little rat. His brother was at Zircaster. I remember Carnell asking Avon about Blake and his brother. Did Carnell know, I wonder.

"accountant features" That's a good one.

awwww, Vila and Soolin being brave. *proud of them both* He nicked the brandy off Avon? lol

I love the whole "sense of humour" conversation. Well done, Tarrant!

awwwwwww! The Kasha worked! WOOOOHOOO! *high fives*

subjunctive! teehee good old snarky Avon.

It was very fun to read. I'm surprised and impressed how well it stands alone without having to read the other 3 parts.

I'm so glad you liked it. It went off in its own direction with the whole mutoid thing, so it's not really very arc-y. The last one will be though, when they deal with the Federation. I need to think about that one though before leaping in as I did here.

It's good to have another chapter. I do enjoy your stories. And they're Gen, which is the only thing I tend to read these days.

Thanks! I do read non-gen if there's a lot of character revelation as well.
