I damn near cried with this piece. Very skillfully done, and clever plot twists.

Excellent short!

I left a note at ff.n for this. But just to let you know, again, that I loved it!

Yey! :) How quick were you out the blocks on ff.n eh? Most impressive. I'm glad you like it - I don't write Leia much as I find her tricky.

I was on line when the notification came through. You're one of those authors that I rush to read! : ) Especially when I need a boost!

I really love this. I hesitated at first, as I'm not a fan of Leia-fic, but I really enjoyed it. That moment at the end between Luke and Leia was ridiculously sweet. Thanks very much. :)

I don't usually read or write much Leia-fic either. I don't quite remember why I wrote this like this - I'm glad it works, and yep, I kept the saccharin content high!

I loved it. It felt so...real, so possible, so natural even! I almost thought why wasn't this written before? Oh, yes, this is going straight into favourites for me, for those darker moments in life when you want to believe there's hope. Thank you so much for sharing this story (and for making my day ^_~).

Love your icon! I have a bad habit for reading fics (any fic) and then conjuring up what would happen next. This one actually stuck and got written.

Hey! Thank you, chuck - I'm glad the characterisations worked okay. Leia is... well, sometimes I think I'm writing myself rather than her. I find men easier to write... something about being more able to get into a different pair of shoes when they're for a different gender? I don't know.

Speaking of conjuring up what comes next, I can't help but think about what comes next. Leia without a galaxy to free, can concentrate on freeing Luke from his golden cage. Imagine the fights when Leia insists that Luke needs to explore the galaxy while poor papa Vader wants to keep him safe and secure? Fun times, fun times.

That is exactly where my head has gone with this one. Personally, I think Vader should spot the danger and send her packing now ;) I'm trying to be quite disciplined and finish of my other WIPs before even going there, though. Well, except in my head.

And you're spot on with that grammar typo - I'm afraid it's something I always fail at. It's a hangover from the quirks of my regional accent, I think. Bah.

:)

sorry for the ( ... )

That sounds like almost too much fun, but I can understand why you want to finish the other stuff. And you know I'm not going to complain about an attitude that gets me more of Nova anytime soon.

The good news is I've got about 20,000 more words of Nova. The bad news is it's probably going to be another 10,000 before the end. But hey - I am getting there....
