Idol ~ Chapter 4: Denial
I had fun writing this chapter! lol Enjoy! I hope you can picture what's going on!
Chapter 4: Denial
Noriko started getting dressed, she put on a red salsa dress and black toeless heels that wrapped around her ankle, the hair stylist came in earlier and curled her hair. She looked like she was going out dancing, they put on makeup and red lipstick and soon she was out of her dressing room and walking towards Shun.
“Perfect.” He said looking at her.
He then turned and saw Yuya and Sho walk up, Sho was wearing a dark red shirt with black dress pants he was matching Noriko, and holding a rose. While Yuya was wearing a suit with a white shirt and glasses.
They all stepped in front of the screen and that was when they started acting professionally. Noriko had to wrap her arms around Yuya’s waist and hold him close while Sho stood behind them holding the rose to his lips watching them enviously.
Noriko’s heart was beating every time she was close to Yuya but she hid it well, she also hoped he couldn’t hear.
“Sakurai-san, Walk behind Kinjo-san, ii…” Shun yelled, “Matsushita-san grab Kinjo-san’s waist and pull her closer…” Shun frowned, then smiled, “Kinjo-san put your arm around Sakurai-san’s neck, Sakurai…Hai. ii, look down at her.”
Noriko stood posing between the two guys a few times as pictures snapped. Shun nodded.
“Sakurai-san, Kinjo-san I need you two for individual photos, as well as paired and then I’ll call Matsushita-san back.” Shun said.
Noriko nodded as did Sho, they got into the first shot. Sho wrapped his arms around Noriko and hid his face in her neck while Noriko looked at the camera seductively. Another shot was of Noriko’s back to Sho’s front and her eyes were closed while he looked at the camera.
“ii!” Shun said, “Matsushita-san.”
Sho walked off set and Yuya walked on, he was holding the rose and they both were holding the steam while looking at each other Noriko watched him sadly while Yuya looked disappointed.
“Hold that for a moment.” Shun said, “Film this right here.” He said to the camera man before shouting to Noriko and Yuya, “I want you both to drop the rose at the same time and Matsushita-san I want you to walk away.”
“Hai.” Yuya said nodding.
“Action!” Shun yelled.
They did as they were told. “Cut, perfect!” Shun said clapping once, “Sakurai-san, I need you to walk towards the rose.”
Sho did as was told, he smirked at the camera before Shun called cut. Noriko wasn’t sure what this had to do with the drama but she guessed it was a prop.
‘I don’t get it.’ She thought before sighing. ‘I thought my character was more of a modest person…demo…’
She saw Sho was posed with his body away from the camera but he was looking behind his shoulder sadly. Noriko didn’t know why but she walked up behind him and placed her head on his back.
“Kinjo-san.” Shun said after a picture was snapped. “That was beautiful! It must be the actress instinct in you.”
Noriko pulled away from Sho, “Hai…must have been.” She looked at Sho who smiled nervously and walked off.
“Kinjo-san you’re turn.” Shun said.
Noriko didn’t need much directing as she posed, she put the rose in her hair and Shun smiled as she did that.
“Alright that’s a wrap, great job everyone.” Shun said Noriko walked off and Yori stopped her.
“What was that?”
“I don’t really know, getting into character I guess.”She said walking towards her dressing room.
When she walked in Yuya was waiting for her.
“Nori-chan, we should talk.” He said, “I…”
“I don’t feel like talking at the moment Yuya.” Noriko said, “I’ll see you later on though.”
“We’re supposed to be working on the song after this, now is a good a time as any to talk.” Yuya said, “Noriko…about what happened back then…”
“What about it?” Noriko asked indifferently, “It’s the past.”
“Not to me, not really.”He walked up to her, “I didn’t know it was your first kiss.”
“Yes, I know.” She said, “I didn’t want to make it weird between us.”
“Nori-chan, you’re not making any sense.” He said sighing, “If you didn’t want to make it weird why did you just stop talking to me after the drama, and why did I have to find out from an interview 3 years afterwards it was your first kiss?”
“I…”
“Did you think I wouldn’t understand?” He asked, “Noriko.”
“Yuya, stop making this complicated.” Noriko said, “It was just a kiss, it’s not like anything big happened…plus I’ve kissed plenty of people after that.”
Yuya looked a bit hurt, “Wakarimashita.” He said walking away.
“Iie…Yuya.” Noriko said feeling bad, “I…I didn’t mean it like that.”
“Hai. Wakarimashita.” He walked out of her dressing room without saying anything more.
“Kuso.” She said frowning. ‘That was so not what I wanted to happen not at all.’

Yori watched Noriko and nodded, ‘she is coming into her own, I’m proud of her really.’ She thought smiling. When Shun was talking to the camera, Yori couldn’t take her eyes off him. He nodded at something and smiled. He looked over and smiled at her.
She sent him a small smile back and Shun turned back to the camera man, saying a few more things before turning and walking over to her.
“Yamamoto-san.”
“Hai?” she said trying to look busy and failing.
“Ano, I was wondering what you thought about the photo shoot?” Shun asked, smiling, “Was it to your liking?”
“Actually I feel as if Noriko could’ve been dressed a little more modestly.” Yori said honestly and she watched as the smile slowly fell off of Shun’s face. “Ano…I…I mean that in the script it seemed more that Noriko was a modest character, demo…according to the shoot she looks like she enjoys the attention.”
“Um…” Shun looked as if he was thinking before sending her a smile, “Domo Arigatou Gozaimasu Yamamoto-san, I think I have the perfect idea for a promotion commercial.”
“H…Hontou?” Yori asked confused, “Iie…Daijoubu.”
“I’d like to show my thanks, demo would you like to have dinner some time?” Shun asked, “I’ll be more of a business dinner.”
“Eh...” Yori asked surprised.
Shun smiled, “Yoku, some other time.”
“Oguri-san.” Someone called.
Shun looked over his shoulder and nodded, “Ja Yamamoto-san.” He said before walking towards the person that called him.
“Eh…” Yori said again looking confused.
“Yori, let’s go we have to meet Yuya at the studio.” Noriko said walking towards her. Yori was still looking at the spot Shun was standing. Noriko looked confused before snapping her fingers in Yori’s face.
“Yori, we have to go.” Noriko said, “What’s the matter with you?”
“Eh?” was all Yori said before shaking her head and looking at Noriko, “Ano…you’ll never believe me.”
“Nani?” Noriko asked as they walked towards the car.
“Shun...asked me on a date I believe.”
“Hontou? Did you say yes?” Noriko asked nudging her.
“I don’t know.” Yori said, “My mind just...” she shook her head, “It doesn’t matter it’s not possible.”
“Yori…” Noriko said rolling her eyes.
“Nani? Shun is your director it wouldn’t be the right thing-” Yori said frowning.
“I’ll make you go out with him.” Noriko said seriously, “He seems interested.”
“It’s not professional!” Yori said strongly.
“Screw professional, he totally has a thing for you, he wants to get to know you on a personal level.” Noriko said opening her door.
“Iie Noriko, and that’s final.” Yori said nodding and opening her door, she looked back at studio 15 and shook her head before getting into the car.
