Chapter 16: From Your Soul
‘What did I ever do to deserve her…she’s so beautiful…’ Sho thought as he lay beside a sleeping Noriko. Sho turned and looked at the ceiling. ‘She should be getting home…but it would be a sin to wake her.’
He sighed getting up from bed and putting on a pair of loss cotton pants. He walked into the bathroom and ran bathwater. He knew from the stain of blood on his bed it had been her first time. Maybe that was another thing that stopped him from taking things this far. When the water was high and hot enough he walked back into his room.
Noriko had moved and was now clutching his pillow with a smile on her face.
He really didn’t want to wake her but he knew she had to get home, rubbed her arm softly. “Noriko…Noriko wake up.” He whispered.
Noriko stirred and woke up feeling sore in a place she never felt sore before. She blushed remembering where she was and what happened.
“Sho…” she said looking at him.
“Noriko you need to get up…I ran you a bath for your soreness.” He said pulling the covers back.
Noriko smiled and tried to moved but found it difficult. “Ano…I mean…um…I can’t really use my legs.”
Sho smirked and Noriko shook her head, “You perverted man.”
Sho walked over to her side of the bed and picked her up. Noriko naturally wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his collar bones as he carried her into the bathroom.
“Stop that…” Sho said lightly. “I might drop you.”
She giggled and Sho placed her in the tub, he then pressed a button that turned on jets and Noriko moaned before sinking into the tub fully.
“This is nice….” She said closing her eyes.
Sho smiled still on the edge of the tube. “I’m glad you like it.” He stuck his hands in the water and nonchalantly drew on her skin.
“Sho?”
“Yes?”
“Can you wash my back?” She asked innocently.
Sho nodded and grabbed a towel.

They sat on his couch not doing anything, it was very late and Sho still hadn’t told her to go home.
“Noriko…”
“No one’s there.” She said softly.
“What?”
“The reason I haven’t left yet...no one’s there.” She sighed, “I’m officially 18 years old remember, I don’t need a guardian at him and I’m too told to go into foster care, my dad left me a lot of money...”
Sho sighed, “You can stay here as long as you’d like too.”
“I won’t intrude on your personal space. Aiba-chan told me if I needed a place to crash when his parents aren’t home I could stay with him. He’s always alone so…we can be together.”
Sho pulled her closer and Noriko looked at his face seeing the glint in his eyes as he stared into space. She hit his leg.
“Not like that baka.” She said laughing, “Aiba-chan is like a brother to me, he watches out for me, and he’s dating Yori….I could never see anyone the way I see you.”
“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind…” he said leaning down.
Noriko grinned, “You keep quoting Shakespeare to me…”
“Shakespeare knew how to speak to the soul rather than just the ears.” He said lightly.
“A heart to love, and in that heart courage to make’s love known.” Noriko said smiling, before kissing him.
“The name of that play is cursed.” He said, “I hope we have better luck.”
Noriko smiled and saddled his waist. “We don’t need luck.” She kissed him once more and Sho placed his hands on her waist, all she was wearing was his shirt and he had to admit she looked eternally beautiful.
“I…”
“I love you Sho Sakurai.” Noriko said she placed her head in his neck and kissed him, “I would not wish any companion in the world than you.”
“You are a Tempest.”
Noriko smirked, “Seikai desu.” She kissed him more and he slowly unbuttoned the shirt that kept her covered.

Noriko walked to school on Monday and bumped into Yori.
“Where were you?” Yori said loudly, “I was worried about yo Ninja ass all weekend no calls or texts?”
Noriko smiled and blushed, “Sorry I was busy.”
“Oh…who with?” Yori asked folding her arms, and stopping in front of her.
“No of your business.” Noriko said walking around her.
“Nori-chan, you never kept anything a secret from me…should I be offended?” Yori asked pouting.
Noriko grinned, “Iie…but its best I don’t say anything about this Yori-chan, it could ruin such a good thing.”
Yori sighed and linked Noriko’s arm with hers. “You’re lucky I love you otherwise…I’d have to slap a ho.”
“Who you callin’ a ho?” Noriko asked raising her eyebrows.
“The one that’s glowing beside me.” Yori said smirking.
“I…shut up.” Noriko blushed dropping Yori’s arm.
Yori’s eyes went wide. “Really? You actually let someone swipe your v-card?”
Noriko closed her eyes, “I really don’t want to talk about it.”
“I think you realllly do.” Yori said looking at her, “You have to tell me about your first time.”
“Have you done it yet?” Yori blushed, and Noriko smirked, “When you do it, I’ll tell you.”
“Cruel woman of my heart.” Yori said glaring.
Noriko grinned, “You love me.”
“Sometimes I wonder why.” Yori said sighing.
Noriko hit her, “My line!” Yori laughed and Noriko chased after her.
They got to the stairs and noticed they were pretty early so they just sat on the steps waiting when Jun walked up to them.
“Noriko, can I talk to you?” he asked.
Noriko remembered what happened and nodded, “Sure what’s up?”
“Away from the nosy one.” Jun said looking at Yori who stuck her tongue out at him.
Noriko shrugged she saw Yori nodded and Noriko walked away and saw Sho walking up the stairs he looked at her with a frown and Noriko sent one back.
Yori smiled and grabbed Sho’s attention.
When Noriko and Jun were a fair amount away Jun sighed. “Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For everything that happened with Rin.” He said sighing, “I was truly an idiot for going back to her and not seeing what I had in front of me and for that I’m sorry and I thank you.”
He walked up to her and hugged her. Noriko felt warm but it wasn’t what she normally felt when she hugged Jun. Jun pulled away and he looked into her eyes.
“I know you said you loved me, but you weren’t in love with me…but in reality I don’t believe you.” He said still looking into her eyes.
“Jun.”
“I don’t believe you can fall out of love with someone so quickly after being in love for so long…I won’t accept that I missed my shot with you.”
“But you did! As soon as you went back with Rin…”
“I love you Noriko.” He said frowning, “and I know…I KNOW…you still love me, I want to see that love shining once more in your eyes.”
“Jun, listen to me, I don’t love you as anything more than a fri-” she was cut off, she saw it.
She knew what he would do before he did it. Jun leaned in as she was speaking and kissed her. He held her firmly and kissed her soundly on the mouth. Noriko felt fog gather in her mind before she remembered Sho, Sho the man she loved, Sho the man she wanted to be with. The man that was watching Jun kiss her from the steps of the school with his mouth open.
Yori stood beside him looking just a stunned. When Jun pulled away Noriko looked at him and saw he was looking down at her with an unsure expression.
