Sugoi~ Part 1
Okay today is Sho Sakurai’s birthday and I wrote this as a birthday gift for everyone on his birthday! XD so yea! Happy Birthday Sho!!! XD
Sugoi! It’s Sho’s Birthday!
Part 1: The Night before~
Noriko lifted the lid to the steaming pot and smiled.
“Yes!” she said triumphantly. “It looks great.”
She was proud that the food was turning out just as Jun said it would, but she did follow everything to the letter. She could hear Jun saying baka add this or add that. She laughed to herself.
‘Why am I so silly?’ she asked herself as she stirred the miso soup and looked at the Curry in the pot next to it.
It was January 24th a day before Sho’s birthday and she was excited and nervous about tonight. Noriko had been planning a…surprise of sorts for Sho. It all started in November around Thanksgiving. Jun was in the kitchen…

“Ah!! Jun! You make everything look so good! How?!” Noriko asked trying to sneak food when he slapped her hand.
“Itai!” she said rubbing her hand.
“Cooking is all about watching and waiting.” He said stirring the gravy. “It’s pretty relaxing.”
Noriko looked back into the dining room and saw Sho talking with Mizumi. Sho must have said something silly because Mizumi laughed and called him a baka while Sho tired to argue his point. Noriko smiled at them and sighed wistfully.
“You don’t have to stay in the kitchen…I’m sure Rin-chan will help me.” Jun said the last part loud enough for everyone in the dining room to hear him.
“No she won’t!” Akira called back from the room while Rin yelled, “I’M GETTING BETTER!”
Noriko laughed as well, “Iie its cool…I would like to ask you how do you make curry? I know…someone hasn’t had it for a while.”
“Hai Sho-kun hasn’t are you planning to cook something for him?” Jun asked slyly.
“Huh!?” Noriko said blushing looking up at him. “Iie…ano…maybe.” She said as Jun turned his eyes on her, she could never lie to him. He was her first love after all.
Jun shook his head, “I’ll train you in the art of curry…demo only if you make it for Sho.”
Noriko blushed but nodded, “Okay…I’ll do it.”
Jun grinned, “Great! So we’ll get started around Christmas.”
Noriko frowned, “Why so late?!” she asked, when Jun hit her, “Baka! His birthday is in January…what better way to tell him you love him.”
Noriko thought about it.
“A full stomach, a beautiful woman, and the words of love...How could he resist you?” Jun said lightly.
“You’re full of it Jun.” Noriko said rolling her eyes.
Jun was disappointed before looking at the other food when Noriko hugged him. “Domo Arigato Jun-chan.” she said smiling.
“Hey! Do I need to separate you two?” Rin said coming into the kitchen.
She pulled away from Jun and Noriko smiled shaking her head, “Iie. He’s all yours girl.” She grinned and Rin smiled,
“Good.”

Noriko smiled at the memory, she looked down at the curry once more and smiled. ‘Hopefully this will go as planned.’ She thought breathing out.
She walked past the counter and started setting the table, she set four places thought she knew only one person would show other than herself. Looking at the counter she saw the present she was giving him, it was wrapped in blue and silver paper, with a card in a yellow envelope. Inside the card was a letter she’d been saving for two years…saving and re-writing. She sighed before turning off the curry. She had to get ready.
Noriko stood in the shower and thought about last week. No one aside from Jun knew about her birthday dinner plan, and she was so excited she remembered she needed the other’s help. She sat on Mizumi’s couch waiting for everyone else to arrive…

She sat facing Mizumi with a smile on her face. Mizumi laughed, “Nani?” she asked looking at Noriko who shook her head still staring at her friend.
Mizumi whined, “Then stop staring at me with those big dark brown eyes.”
Noriko smiled, “Okay, so what are you going to do for Sho-c…kun’s birthday?” she asked at last.
Mizumi smiled at her slip, “Still thinking about Sho huh?” Mizumi asked.
“All the time, demo…I want to do more than think about him Mizu-chan.” Noriko said, “I…I want to be with him.”
“Noriko…I know you do…demo I-”
There was a knock at the door and Noriko was happy to get away, she didn’t want to think about what Mizumi was saying.
She opened the door and Yori, Akira and Rin were standing there.
“Hello ladies.” Noriko said winking at each of them.
Yori shook her head and walked inside, “You could never be a host Nori-chan, plus…the only host here is me.”
Yori sat down on the couch and crossed her legs, “Now, ladies come to me.” She said sending a seductive look at the four now standing.
Akira’s eyes went wide, “Oh…god…can’t fight…it…must be close to….” She picked up a couch cushion and wacked her with it. “Stop trying to be a host Yori-chan.”
Everyone laughed, Rin plopped down next to Yori and hugged her, “Please don’t quit your day job sweetie.”
“Yea because if you do that and we need a doctor it’d suck.” Noriko said sitting next to her.
“Mizu-chan…why did you call us here?” Yori asked moving over.
Mizumi shook her head, and looked at Noriko who smiled.
“I need you guys help.” Noriko said turning her eyes to the ground and blushing.
“Ah…It’s about Sho-kun!” Rin said happily getting up, “Spill Spill Spill!”
Akira got up as well and grabbed Rin, “Noriko tell us before Rin dies of excitement.” She said laughing.
“Okay, well Jun-chan has been teaching me how to cook for a while now…and I would like to make Sho a birthday dinner…a privet birthday dinner.” Noriko said looking at her friends and trying not to blush, “I was wondering if there was a way you could keep everyone else busy.”
“You mean you want us to distract our man candy?” Yori said grinning.
Noriko laughed and nodded.
“I’m sure I can think of some way to keep Aiba chained to the bed…I mean in the house.” Yori said thoughtfully.
Rin shook her head and hit Yori on the arm, “Stop with the Hentai Yori don’t want to get to poor innocent Mizu-chan.”
Mizumi looked away and whistled, “Annnny ways, I’m sure I know how to keep Oh-chan busy…all I have to do is go up to him and say…”
Mizumi poked out her lips and said in a sweet voice, “Oh-chan…take me fishing with you…Dozo…I…I know I don’t normally like it demo as long as I’m with you…”
Akira clapped, “Oh god she should be an actress!”
“To thumbs way up!” Rin said giggling, “I think that means…no worries Nori-chan we got your back.”
The girls smiled at her and Noriko nodded, “Thanks guys…”

Noriko set the table and smiled, she’d called Sho yesterday night as well. She remembered how excited he seemed and she couldn’t help but picture his smiling face.
She went to her room and finished getting ready.
Noriko looked at herself in the mirror and breathed out. She was wearing a dark red v-neck shirt, dark blue jeans with a black belt and silver square loop. She finished her look with leather books and a silver necklace that Sho gave to her on Christmas.
Noriko heard someone ring the door bell and sighed. She looked at her reflection and sighed she walked over to her dresser and grabbed some lip gloss.
‘This is so not me…’ she thought as she put the lip gloss on. The door bell rang once more and she breathed out before walking down the hall and yelling, “I’m coming.”
Noriko paused at the door and breathed out before turning the handle and smiling as she opened the door.
Noriko’s smile slid off her face as she saw Sho talking closely with another woman.
“Sho-ch…kun. Hi.” Noriko squeezed out.
Sho turned and looked at her with a smile, “Konbanwa Nori-chan! I should have told you over the phone that I had a surprise for everyone but yea, this is my girlfriend Tanaka Shizuko. She’s also my co-star in a new upcoming drama.”
Noriko looked at Shizuko. She was a few inches shorter than Noriko, with light brown hair that dusted her shoulders and beautiful hazel eyes.
“Hajimemashite, Dozo yoroshiku.” Noriko said bowing slightly and Shizuko followed her.
“Hijimemashite.” Shizuko said smiling at her.
Noriko nodded and let the two in, as soon as she showed them to the little dining corner she went to get the food that was warming on the stove. As she transferred it she looked at Sho. He looked so happy next to Shizuko.
“Where is everyone?” Sho asked looking at the place settings.
Noriko shrugged, “Yori, Akira, Nino and Aiba said they couldn’t make it…” Noriko heard her phone go off and saw it was a text from Mizumi that said ‘good luck!’
Noriko would’ve laughed if she didn’t feel like crying. “Mizumi just texted, Her and Oh-chan canceled and just as she put her phone down Rin texted her with the same message.
“Same with Rin-chan.” Noriko said sitting down opposite to the couple. “I guess it’s just us.” She said with a forced smile.
Noriko smiled and acted like nothing was wrong.
“So Shizuko-san tell me something about yourself since this one never mentioned you.” Noriko said smiling jabbing at Sho.
Sho looked away and smiled, “I wanted it to be a surprise.”
‘I was…’ Noriko thought looking at Shizuko.
“Sho-chan and I started dating back around…Thanksgiving.” Shizuko said smiling, “We made plans to spend Thanksgiving together…”
Noriko looked at him, ‘So that’s why he left early…so long…I didn’t know.’ Noriko tired to hide her sadness. “Sou desu ka?”
“Hai…Sho-chan is the perfect Gentaman.”
“When’s not failing.” Noriko said quickly to which Shizuko laughed and nodded while Sho pouted.
“Stop making fun of me Nori-chan.” He said, sending her a look. Noriko swallowed hard at the look and got up quickly.
“Right…are you done…sure you are…I’ll go put these in the kitchen.” Noriko said grabbing their plates and going into the kitchen when she put the plates on the counter she breathed out quickly and she heard Sho come in as well.
“Nori-chan are you okay?” he asked and Noriko turned quickly and smiled at him. “Yea…Yes! I’m fine.” She said closing her eyes and nodding before looking at him. “Perfectly fine.”
“ii.” He said, “So how…what do you think of Shizu-chan?”
Noriko turned around and messed with the dishes, “She’s great…nice…beautiful…” she turned and looked at Sho, “Perfect for you.”
Sho smiled, “Thanks…I was actually hoping you’re approve of her.”
“Why wouldn’t I?” Noriko asked, then smiled, “Any…Any woman that could not be annoyed with your failing, is worth keeping.”
Sho nodded then looked away from her on the opposite counter and saw a wrapped present, “Oh…is that for me!” he asked looking at the present and then at her.
Noriko looked at the present and thought about snatching it or lying but she nodded instead and Sho grabbed it.
“Domo Arigato Nori-chan!” he then looked her. “Can I open it now?”
Noriko’s eyes went wide, “IIE!” She yelled then shook her head and laughed, “I mean…iie…not till your birthday…” she paused and remembered Shizuko. “Shouldn’t you be entertaining your girlfriend?”
Sho nodded once more then pulled her into a hug. Noriko wrapped her arms around his waist and held him close. She wanted to stay like this forever…just holding him tightly when Noriko remembered he had a girlfriend she pulled away reluctantly and looked down.
“Go…to your girlfriend.” Noriko said not looking at him.
Sho looked up surprised and smiled nervously before quickly leaving the kitchen.
Noriko Shook her head, ‘did he forget!?’ she laughed bitterly to herself, before going back into her dining room.
“Shizuko-chan is kind of tired so I think we’re going to head out now.” Sho said helping Shizuko into her coat. “Thanks for the dinner it was great Nori-chan.” he said sending her another smile.
Noriko felt her insides melt, she wanted to send him a sad look but instead she smiled.
Noriko said, “My pleaser and it was nice to meet you Shizuko.”
“Hai…You too Noriko-san.” She said trying not to show how tired she really was.
“Take care you two.” Noriko said closing the door. Noriko turned away from the door and slid down it just as her mask broke.
‘Don’t cry Noriko.’ She thought breathing hard, ‘Don’t cry.’
She tried to steady her breathing but his smile when he was with her…he was so happy.
‘You knew this would happen…You knew he’d never love you…don’t cry.’ She thought as she closed her eyed tightly. ‘So…Don’t…cry.’
Finally tears leaked out of her eyes and she sobbed quietly behind her door.
