~Chapter 5: Nice to meet you ~
Noriko smiled at Junji trying to drag her down the street to his school.
“Hold your horses Ji-chan, you’ll get to you classroom on time.” Noriko said smiling and stopping him from pulling her and more.
Junji got frustrated and turned around the pull her again. “I want to get there early Okaa-san, Dozo….” He whined poking out his bottom lip.
Noriko looked down at him and looked away, “When you look like that, how can I say No?” Noriko asked then quickened her pace so Junji was falling behind her slightly.
“Hurry up slow poke, don’t want to be late, do you?” Noriko said grinning at him. Junji glared at his mom before jogging to keep up with her. Soon the two were running down the street. Noriko fell back so she was beside Junji before speeding up and beating him.
“Beat you here.” Noriko called childishly.
“No far! You cheated Okaa-san!” He said pushing her side slightly.
Noriko giggled and started to tickle him again. “Iie Okaa-san, not here!” he yelled trying to get away laughing, but Noriko had him in a vice grip.
“Nori-chan let go of my oi will you?” Mizumi said walking up to the pair. Junji saw Mizumi and rushed over to her.
“Oba-chan! Is Rika-chan here as well?” he asked looking around Mizumi when he spotted a little girl with black pigtails with silver ribbons in her hair.
“Ohayo Jun-chan.” Rika said shyly from beside Mizumi.
Noriko shook her head, “You and Oh-chan need to stop copying me.”
“What do you mean?” Mizumi asked looking up from the two children looking at each other.
“A year after I had Junji you have Rika, and now they’re going to the same school…almost the same grade.” Noriko said grinning, “Are you guys watching me that closely?”
“We need to look out for poor little Junji…having you for a mother must drive him crazy.” Mizumi said ginning.
“Watch it…” Noriko said squinting her eyes.
“Okaaa-san! Come onn.” Junji said pulling her hand, “We should go now.”
Noriko nodded, “I’ll call you later Mizu-chan.”
Mizumi nodded and lightly tugged Rika along. “It’s not scary you’ll be fine without Jun-chan.”
Noriko shook her head, Rika and Junji had been inseparable when they were babies till schooling. They did almost everything together but Junji was a year older and Rika was afraid of the separation. Noriko tried not to laugh at the name Oh-chan wanted to name Rika.
~Flashback~
Noriko watched her two friends as she held baby Junji in her arms. Ohno had a bright smile on his face as he placed his ear close to Mizumi’s growing stomach.
“I’m sure it’s a girl.” Ohno said happily, “A beautiful baby girl with your eyes Mi-chan.”
Noriko was slightly envious at their happiness. ‘Jun should’ve been doing that with me as well…’ Noriko thought trying to stop the tears before they started again.
Junji laughed at something and Noriko looked down at his toothless smile and noticed he was looking at her studded earrings.
“Yea I learned my lesson about wearing dangling earrings around you mister.” Noriko said grinning at Junji who laughed.
“IIE!” Mizumi said loudly folding her arms.
“Nani?” Noriko said looking up at her friend.
Ohno pouted, “Dozo!” he clapped his hands together.
“I will not name my daughter Kihada…after a yellow finned Tuna, are you mental Satoshi?” Mizumi said glaring at her husband.
“Demo…demo…it’s such a beautiful name!” Ohno said grabbing her hands, “Dozo.”
“Iie!” Mizumi said snatching her hand away.
Ohno turned and looked at Noriko. “What do you think Nori-chan? Isn’t Kihada a beautiful name for our daughter?”
Noriko tried to keep in her laugher but she didn’t have to because soon Junji was giggling loudly.
‘Saved by the baby.’ She thought grinning down at Junji.
“There’s your answer Oh-chan…Ji-chan knows.” Noriko said smiling.
Ohno pouted, looking back at Mizumi who threw her hands up in frustration.
~End Flashback~
Noriko giggled at the memory as they rounded the corner. They came to room 105 and she saw him hesitate.
“You okay Ji-chan?” Noriko asked placing her hand on his head.
Junji nodded, trying not to show how nervous he was.
“Do you want to take my hand?” Noriko asked looking down at him. Junji looked up at her with big brown eyes before nodding.
Noriko nodded as well and he grabbed her hand, she turned the door knob to the room and saw a few children where inside along with their parents standing by their desk they were leaving in and out as it was.
“Why don’t you go fine your desk babe?” Noriko said she then looked around and saw a man shaking hands with a parent before they left the room. Noriko assumed he was the teacher. She walked over to him as he was walking back to his seat.
“Ano…Sumimasen…are you by chance Sakurai-sensei?” Noriko asked looking at the man. The man nodded and held out his hand.
“Hai, I am Sakurai-sensei…and you are?”
“Oh forgive me I’m Matsu…moto-san.” Noriko said lightly taking his hand. “Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you as well Matsumoto-san, I would like to say your son or daughter-”
“Son, I have a son…Junji…” Noriko was still holding his hand when she saw Junji sitting silently at his desk. “There.”

“Oh forgive me I’m Matsu…moto-san.” Noriko said lightly taking his hand. “Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you as well Matsumoto-san, I would like to say your son or daughter-”
“Son, I have a son…Junji…” Noriko was still holding his hand when she saw Junji sitting silently at his desk. “There.”
