My Heart Wants you: Chapter 19 ~ Monster
FINALLY! geez it took me forever to get this done! happy new year everyone! XD
Chapter XIX: Monster
Noriko looked at the painting once more, “Sato-chan, this is amazing.” She said, it was all in pencil and not a bit of color but she could see the time and detail he put into the picture.
“What are you going to do with it?” Noriko asked looking at the picture.
“I’m going to give it to her.” He said looking at the picture with pride.
Noriko nodded looking back at the picture, it was of Mizumi. She was pregnant and looked to be happy, her eyes were closed and her left hand was on her stomach.
“It’s a really nice portrayal of her…” Noriko said looking down, she sighed and looked at Ohno, “Do you still love her?”
Ohno smiled, “I knew you’d ask me that…” he paused putting the picture down, “I do.”
Noriko gave him a look, “And after you gave me that spill about hurting Soichi-chan!” she hit him on the arm, “You’re incredible!”
Ohno rolled his eyes, “Are you done hearing yourself speak?” Noriko folded her arms, “ii, cause if you’d let me finish, I mean I do love her. I will always love her just as you will always love Sho...”
“Sato-chan, do you…want to talk to her?” Noriko said softly. “I miss Mizumi…”
Ohno looked at Noriko, and she sighed, “She was the only person other than you that seemed to get me, she was my closest friend…my sister even and…losing her and Sho together made everything so much harder.”
“I know that’s how I felt.” Ohno said getting up and covering the picture, “Demo, I saw Mizumi a few weeks ago and I’m not ready.”
Noriko watched Ohno and saw he was stiff, “You think if you see her once again you’ll want to try once more…don’t you.”
Ohno didn’t say anything but put the picture back in his room. He walked back out silently and sat next to Noriko.
“I understand Sato-chan, I feel the same way…when I saw Sho that time…I nearly broke, when he kissed me…I wanted to forgive him… just lock him up and make him repeatedly tell me he loved me.” She folded her hands, “Maybe we should wait a while.”
Ohno nodded, “We’re still not ready…” he then laughed bitterly, “Demo, I adore Akira…does that make me a bad person?”
Noriko shook her head, and rubbed her hands together. “I think we’ll be okay.” She said grinning, “There is a way to love more than one person…You want a new life with Akira and hopefully…” she sighed.
“Don’t worry Nori-chan, demo…”
“I’m going to go me Soichi-chan.” Noriko said walking over to the door and putting on her shoes.
Ohno watched her go sadly, “Nori-chan break up with him for your own good.” He said lightly.
Noriko and her back to the door and heard Ohno, ‘I…don’t think I can.’ She thought when her phone vibrated. She knew it was from Soichiro, to asking to meet her at their usual spot. She knew because it was almost three and they always like clockwork met at three.
Noriko walked with her hands in the pockets of her black jeans, she had on a dark blue v-neck shirt and her hair was down and wavy, and her dark blue vans. She was not looking forward to meeting Soichiro.
She walked into the shop and saw Soichiro smiling back at her. Noriko placed her hands on the table and smiled back weakly at his warm and loving smile.
They sat there in silence as they waited for their drinks to come. Noriko didn’t know what to say as she held her honey tea.
‘I should just do it now and get it over with.’ Noriko thought looking at Soichiro’s face. ‘Demo…I’d feel so bad…iie…I have to do this...gomenasei Soichi-chan…’
Noriko sighed, “Soichi-chan…”
“I honestly thought you wouldn’t come.” He said grabbing her hands, “You’ve been sort of distant this past week.”
Noriko laughed nervously, and he rubbed the back of her hands with his thumbs. “I have not. I’ve met you every day at the same time, we even…”
“Nori-chan.” he said shaking his head, “You know that’s not what I mean…I…was the kiss not…” he trailed off taking his hands from hers.
“Iie…IIE.” She said, taking his hands back, “It’s not the kiss, it was great really, demo…” Noriko sighed, “Soichi-chan…I-”
Soichiro squeezed her hands, “Aishiteru.” He said quickly, looking into her eyes.
“Na-Nani?” Noriko asked in shock, “What did you just say?”
Soichiro grinned, “I said Aishiteru…Nori-chan.” he repeated, “I know it might seem early in our relationship, demo when I saw you that first time I wanted to be with you.”
Noriko looked over Soichiro, he looked serious, and she didn’t know what to say. As he looked at her she felt her heart tighten. His long hair was hiding his face slightly and his eyes were dark and full of emotion.
Noriko was stunned just staring at him, when she finally found her voice “Soichiro…I…I-”
Soichiro leaned over the table and captured her lips in a sweet kiss, “I know you’ve had a rough love life, I just want you to know that it doesn’t matter to me that you can’t say it now.”
He looked at his cell phone, “I have to go practice our lead singer wrote three new songs he’d like to perform in two weeks.”
Soichiro got up and kissed Noriko on her temple before walked out of the café. Noriko slumped over. She was unable to believe what had just happened. Soichiro pulled out his phone, and started dialing a number.
“Moshi-”
“Stay away from Noriko.” Soichiro said darkly, “I know you have feelings for her, demo she is my girlfriend.”
“Are you confident in this Soichiro?” Jun asked lightly from the line, when Soichiro didn’t get a replay Jun chuckled, “If you were you wouldn’t be threatening me.”
“I-” Soichiro started,
“If she loves you, you shouldn’t worry about me stealing her from you…demo since you did call me and threaten me.” Jun kept the laughter in his voice, “It means I still have a shot at her heart.”
Soichiro growled, “Jun if-”
“Domo Arigato Soichiro-chan.” Jun said closing his phone. Jun smiled in confidence and looked at Hiro who was toning his base.
“So, you ready for the drama?” Jun asked grinning at Hiro.
Hiro shook his spiky head, “As long as Nori-chan comes out of this happy…I could care less.” He said grinning, “That…and if it’s funny.”
Jun stood up and shook his head, “Let’s get to work.”
~2 weeks Later~
Noriko stood between Yori, Ohno and Akira. Aiba and Rin where again MIA, Noriko was worried thought she knew Aiba was fine. The show was about to start when Yori got a text message.
“Hey Nori-chan…Aiba said…” Yori breathed out, “He said he’s not coming, He and Rin-chan are at the hospital.”
“Nani!?” Noriko yelled grabbing her arm. Yori winched and shook her head, “Mizumi is in labor and they’re there to lend their support.”
Noriko removed her hand from Yori. “He said…even thought what they did was horrible he wants to be there for her…”
“Is…is Sho there?” Noriko asked, looking at the ground. Yori shook her head, “Doesn’t seem like it.”
Noriko made a fist just as the band walked out of the curtains. Noriko looked up and saw Jun looking right at her.
‘This night is your night Noriko…watch me.’ He thought before pulling out his guitar.
Jun started play a few cords by himself before Hiro and Nino joined him followed by Soichiro. Jun got up close to the mic and held it with his guitar in his right hand and he was holding the mic with his left.
“The secret side of me…I never let you see, I keep it caged but I can’t control it.” He looked down at Noriko, “So stay away from me the beast is ugly I feel the rage but I just can’t hold it.”
Jun closed his eyes and tilted the mic stand to the side as Soichiro switched up his beats. “It's scratching on the walls, in the closet, in the halls…It comes awake and I can't control it…”
“Hiding under the bed, in my body, in my head…” Jun put the mic right side up and pointed to side of his head before looking at Noriko again and singing, “Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?”
Jun set the mic up, “I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin, I must confess that I feel like a monster. I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun, I must confess that I feel like a monster…”
“I, I feel like a monster…I, I feel like a monster”
Jun and Soichiro played together while Nino and Hiro played backup for a while.
“My secret side I keep hid under lock and key…I keep it caged but I can't control it…” Jun wore a painful expression as he sung that part. “ 'Cause if I let him out… he'll tear me up, break me down…” He looked down and sung, “Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?”
Noriko watched as Jun sung his heart out, she remembered what Soichiro said that day about him making three new songs just for this performance. ‘Could he have done this…?’ she wondered as she looked at Jun.
Soichiro saw Noriko looking at Jun and he couldn’t help but play his drums a bit harder than necessary, ‘Damn you Jun.’ he thought staring at the back of Jun’s head.
Jun tried to hide his smirk, ‘Watch me Noriko…’
“I, I feel like a monster…I, I feel like a monster”
It's hiding in the dark, it's teeth are razor sharp, There's no escape for me, it wants my soul, it wants my heart…” Jun touched his chest where his heart was and looked down at Noriko once more, “No one can hear me scream, maybe it's just a dream, Maybe it's inside of me, stop this monster…”
Jun stopped playing a long with Hiro and Soichiro so Nino was just playing lightly as Jun sang, “I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin, I must confess that I feel like a monster…”
There was a slight pause before everyone started playing again.
“I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun, I must confess that I feel like a monster...I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin, I must confess that I feel like a monster… I've gotta lose control, he something radical, I must confess that I feel like a monster”
Jun back up from the mic and moved his guitar up and down as he sang, “I, I feel like a monster, I, I feel like a monster, I, I feel like a monster, I, I feel like a monster.”
Jun closed his eyes as the crowded yelled and screamed wildly. ‘It’s just the beginning…’ he thought opening his eyes and looking into Noriko’s, ‘I’ll win your heart…the only way I know how.’ He thought before nodding to Hiro and then to Nino.
They all knew a long night was ahead of them.
