Oukoku: Chapter 5
Hello everyone! XD I'm back at home so yea I decided to write and post a new Chapter enjoy!!!
~Chapter 5~
Yori pulled Nori down the hall and past a lot of people and soon she was on one side of a large room with groups of people dancing and talking.
“So this is court?” Nori asked looking around at the groups of all women and all men and some with both.
Yori nodded, “Come on.” She said pulling Nori over to a dark wall so they could talk.
“Okay, here’s the deal…Court is full of backstabbers and fake people that just want to get close to the King just so he could marry them or some them favor.” Yori said favor by wiggling her eyebrows, and Nori couldn’t help but laugh.
“Demo…” Yori said with a sigh, “King Satoshi is going to be married soon and if he’s anything like his Brother…he’ll have…concubines…” Yori said with distaste.
“Eh...which brother?” Nori asked, “I believe I met one…”
“Jun…or MatsuJun…he’s known around court, just because he works closer to his brother General Sakurai he has a lot of power and pull, plus girls seem to find him very good looking. I don’t really see it but others do.”
“I met him! He’s such a bastard…”
“Who’s a bastard?” a quiet voice said,
Yori and Nori both jumped, and turned to face who interrupted them.

Nino followed Ohno, down the hall. He could hear the noise from the people at court. He felt, a heavy pressure in his chest as he watched his elder brother.
Nino took his job seriously. He knew that he had a top notch position of power being close to Ohno. He was the King’s advisor, and His brother’s protector. Sho made it his mission to train Nino to guard Ohno in any and all situations because Sho couldn’t look over the troops and protect Ohno at all times. So Nino was his privet guard and public advisor.
He remembered his brother’s words when people mocked the fact that Ohno had no real guards.
“I don’t trust just everyone with my life.”
Nino knew that he would always stand with his brother silently, no matter what.
“Ohno…” he said softly, “You know, you really don’t have to do this...You’re the King, Brother…you can back out...”
Ohno turned to look at Nino, his head was down and he looked slightly defeated, “Iie Nino-chan…You know even if I wanted to I couldn’t.” Ohno paused before answering once more, “If I wish to keep the peace of this kingdom as well as the others I must marry…even if I don’t want to.”
Nino sighed, ‘He always thinks of the kingdom and what’s right…’
“Well, at least try to fall in love too ne…that would be best.” Nino smiled,
Ohno chuckled, “Love?” he turned his back on Nino and kept walking, “Love isn’t for me…it never was.”
The pair appeared at the entrance and the trumpets sounded announcing their King’s presents.

Aiba walked quickly with Sho down the hall, he was supposed to send Sho to Ohno’s office not to Nori. He was slightly worried seeing as Sho was walking pretty quickly.
Sho was wearing a dark blue quilted jacket open and a white linen shirt underneath that’s with a light sliver chain around his neck, and his sword at his side. He also wore a tired look on his face.
“Chotto Matte Sho-chan!” Aiba said, “Why are you going to talk to Nori-chan now?”
Sho looked at his brother, and sighed out loud, “I heard from Ryuu…that she was…”
“She’s not trouble Sho-chan. do you really think I would put anyone in danger like that?” Aiba said softly, “She was hungry and so she stole an apple…it’s not like she killed anyone.”
Sho glared at the ground, “the Kingdom is very strict about the law Aiba-chan, thieves are put in Jail, or killed, and you know that.”
Aiba looked frightened, “No…You can’t…”
“I’m sorry Aiba-chan…but it’s the law.” He said in an almost pleading voice, “So, let me meet with her.”
Aiba said nothing and they walked toward the room, Sho knocked on the door, but no one answered. He looked at Aiba who shrugged.
“Well, you try.” Sho said rolling his eyes.
“Right.” Aiba said laughing. He walked over to the door and knocked.
“Ano…Nori-chan…could you open the door…I…we need to talk about something.” He said softly.
Aiba tested the knob and noticed it was unlocked. He sighed and walked into the room.
“Nori…” He looked around,
Sho walked in after him, “Aiba-chan…where is she?” He asked walking more into the room. He looked at the jewels on the bed and the dirty clothes on the ground.
“She escaped.” Sho said angrily. “Wasn’t anyone watching her?”
“I was with Oh-chan, and she wasn’t a prisoner!” Aiba said, turning on him.
Sho clinched his jaw, “I have to go fine Jun, have you seen him?”
“Iie, he was actually the last one with Nori-chan, I had to go see Oh-chan.” Aiba explained as they left the room.
Sho sighed, “Come on let get to court I’m sure he’ll be there and hopefully we’ll be able to find the…” He looked at Aiba, and sighed, “I mean, find your friend.”
Aiba smiled and the two left the room.
“Thanks…” Aiba whispered.

“Shizuko-chan!” Yori yelled and clutched her chest, before hitting her and smiling, “Did you really have to scare us like that.”
“Gomen…I didn’t mean to.” Shizuko said softly, “I just wanted to know what you where talking about.”
“Jun.” Nori said bluntly.
“Jun-san’s a bastard?” Shizuko said surprised, “Demo…I was sure they all had the same mother and father.”
Yori and Nori laughed, “They do Shizuk-chan!” Yori said patting her friend on the shoulder, “Nori-chan here just had some really bad experiences with the guy that’s all.”
“He called me a low life, just because I didn’t look like…well you guys.” Nori said looking down.
“Demo, you do look like us.” Shizuko said, she then looked Nori over and tilted her head, “You look…familiar…do I know you?”
Nori looked surprised, “Iie…I’m sure you wouldn’t know me at all.”
Shizuko nodded, “Well I’m Shizuko Kinjo, the younger sibling to the Agma kingdom, nice to meet you.” Shizuko curtsied and looked at her.
“Nice to meet you too I’m Nori-chan.” She said softly, looking at Yori.
“She’s my lady in waiting.” Yori said quickly.
Nori looked at Yori in surprise, ‘did she really…just appoint me her lady?’ she thought
Shizuko looked surprised as well, “Hontou? Demo…I thought you didn’t want any ladies Yori-chan.”
Yori smiled, “Well, I changed my mind, when I met Nori here. We seemed to fit right Nori, Yori…”
The trumpets sounded and Yori was grateful, because in walked the king and all eyes wear drawn to him.
