Konojo Himitsu: Chapter 20~ Final
Okay here it is!! The final Chapter of Konojo Himitsu (Her Secret) I want to say I dont own Shiki senior High School! I hope you enjoy this!!!
Chapter 20: Zutto Daisuki Desu
Noriko was sitting next to Mizumi sipping on her juice box. It was getting colder out and school was going on winter break soon.
“So, are you excited?” Mizumi asked lightly.
Noriko was startled, “eh?” She shook her head, “iie…I’m not doing anything special.”
Akria appeared beside her, “That’s not true. I heard from Kazu-chan that you and Sho are going to spend all break together.”
Yori nodded swallowing a mouth full of rice from Mizumi’s bento. “Hai, I heard that too.”
“YORI!! I thought you stopped taking my bento.” Mizumi yelled reaching for her food.
“iie, you only believed I stopped.” Yori said taking another mouth full of rice.
Shizuko took the bento from Yori and give it back to Mizumi.
“Shizu-chan! That was mine!” Yori said pouting.
“Technically it’s Mizumi’s” Akira said high fiving Shizuko.
It’s been a week since she told them about her past, and things finally started to get back to normal. She did see Kei once in a while as she started to pick up Seiko from school. But she had no feelings when she looked at him.
“Noriko, what’s on your mind?” Shizuko asked.
Noriko and Shizuko made up, she apologized about what happened and Noriko put it behind her slowly. She wasn't one to hold things over others.
“Just thinking about Kei.” She said grinning.
“The offer to beat his ass is still on the table.” Yori said cracking her knuckles.
Noriko laughed and shook her head, “iie, daijoubu…he has to live with the guilt of what he’s done.”
Yori nodded though she didn’t fell as if that was a good enough reason, not to beat his ass.
“Hey, are you guys coming to the basketball game?” Akira said excitedly, “It’s the winter final before break and we’re all really pumped because we get a trophy and everything.”
“Yori and I will be there if you guys come to our swim meet.” Noriko said looking at Yori and smiling.
Yori looked happy and nodded, “Kendo club is totally going great right Mizu-chan.”
Mizumi looked away from Yori and grinned, “Hai, demo…I think I’m only getting better because you keep pairing Sato-kun with me.”
“You love me.” Yori said placing her arm around her and trying to get more food.
“Itai!” Yori yelled petting her hand.
Mizumi slapped her hand, “I do love you demo…not that much.”
Akira, Noriko and Shizuko all laughed.
“I can’t wait till break…I want to sleep.” Akira said laying on one of the abandoned spots.
“You sleep enough in class.” Shizuko said grinning, “Well, not as much as Yori-chan.”
Yori looked at Shizuko and stuck out her tongue, “I liked it better when you didn’t talk.”
Shizuko laughed and everyone else joined in.
~Over with the guys~
“Look at them…” Sho said looking at Noriko, “They’re so goofy.”
“Yet Cute…and sweet.” Ohno said smiling as he looked at Mizumi.
“I think they’re a little scary.” Aiba said looking at Yori and smiling, “demo…I’m okay with that.”
Nino was playing his DS still, “Have you even talked to her yet?”
The others looked at Aiba who rubbed his head, “iie…”
“Baka.” Jun said leafing through his book.
“you call him a baka, demo at least he’s actually thinking about confessing instead of standing around doing nothing.” Nino said still clicking away at his DS.
Jun closed his book with a snap and glared at Nino before pushing off of the window.
“Easy Jun, He didn’t mean it.” Ohno said pressing him back and giving Nino a disapproving glance.
“Whatever.” Jun said running his fingers through his hair.
“I haven’t told her yet…demo…I plan on telling her after the swim meet.” Aiba said sighing.
“Don’t you think you should at least wait until after your basketball game?” Sho said lightly,
“Hai, just in case she doesn’t want to hear your late confession?” Nino said still clicking away.
This time all the guys looked at Nino and he finally looked up from his game and looked at them.
“Nani?” He said with a cute innocent look.
The guys just rolled their eyes and shook their heads in annoyance.
“Nani?” Nino repeated once more.
~After school Swim meet~
“Did you see that, I knew Aiba would get the bronze!” Noriko said, “He was always slower than you.” She finished with a grin.
Yori looked down sadly, “Hai, demo…he has always taken everything with a light heart ne…even when he tries so hard and doesn't do the best.”
“Oi…don’t get sad! We had a race next!” Noriko said patting Yori’s shoulders at the same time. “If you want to at least try, to beat me you got to stay focused!” She sent Yori a cheeky smile.
“Why you!!” Yori said smiling and grabbing Noriko’s arms and twisting them lightly.
“itai, itai!!!” Noriko yelled smiling, “come on!”
Yori let her go and they walked out of the locker rooms to the pool area. As soon as they walked out, the crowd grew loud and clapped and cheered. Nerves racked their bodies but they set their jaws and walked over towards their lanes. They were in lanes 3 and 4 right next to each other.
They both stretched a bit and loosened their muscles before breathing out and standing out to over look their lanes.
This race was important to the both of them. They were going against Shiki senior High School, none of the girls like the people in that high school because they looked down on the fact that the teams at their high school were all co-ed. They were going up against all guys. Noriko was angered by the fact that they thought just because she was a girl she couldn’t race. She looked to her left and saw Yori looking at her.
Noriko sent her a confused look before Yori smiled at her, Noriko couldn’t help but smile back. The smile seemed to melt her nervous and she felt ready, she felt as if she could beat them no matter what.
The over seer of the race held up his hand and the crowd when quiet,
“On my Mark!” he said,
They all stepped on their diving platforms.
“Set!” He said taking hold of his whistle.
Noriko trained her eyes on the light blue water that was in front of her, breathing out once and losing her shoulders.
“GO!” he yelled blowing the whistle.
Noriko pushed off of the platform into a nice dive and as soon as she hit the water, everything disappeared.
She kicked hard and evened her breath as well as timed the movements of her arms as she cut through the water quickly. She didn’t know where she was, if she was in front or behind, but as she swam she heard the faint gurgle of the filter as it cleaned the pool water.
Noriko turned and pushed off the wall as hard has she could and kept swimming.
She saw the wall in site and felt her heart beat increase as she reached her arm up and hit the sensory pad that stopped her time.
Jumping out of the water she saw Yori just hit the pad and look at her, they both sighed before pulling off their black goggles and looked at the score board.
Noriko jumped high out of the pool and throw her goggles, before swimming under the bounds that separated their lanes. Pulling Yori into a hug, they were both sporting the biggest grins.
1. Kinjo Noriko - 1:02~ Gold
2. Yamamoto Yori - 1:03~ Silver
There were eight names all together and most of them were guys. Their other two teammates came in 4 and 6th they didn’t get medals, but with all their combined times they did show Shiki senior High School that just because they were co-ed teams didn’t mean anything.
“Come on let’s get medaled and meet the others!” Yori said climbing out of the pool and helping Noriko.
The two got dressed with their medals heavy around their necks and walked out of the locker room to be surrounded by their friends.
“Great Job!” Mizumi said happily jumping up and down before hugging them both.
Sho walked up and kissed Noriko on the lips, she pulled him closer and they kept kissing.
“Get a room!” Jun yelled grinning, the couple broke apart and Sho punched Jun lightly on the arm before Jun pulled Noriko into a hug.
“Great Job, I knew you’d win.” He said softly smiling at her, as he let her go.
“Nani?! Oi!!” Yori yelled stepping on his foot.
“Itai!” Jun yelled grabbing his foot.
Shizuko shook her head and hugged both Noriko and Yori.
“Let’s head to the game now! I want good seats.” Mizumi said, “Nino-chan, Akira and Aiba all left after you won so they could go practice.”
“Good Job you two.” Ohno said smiling.
“Domo Oh-chan!” Yori said hugging him close.
“Domo Oh-chan.” Noriko said blushing, and grinning.
“Hey! Don’t blush for him!” Sho said, giving her a playful glare.
“Nani! He’s cute!” Noriko said grinning and winking at Mizumi who pouted.
“MY boy friend Noriko-chan Mine!” She said, glaring at her friend.
"remember what I said before, he was next..."Noriko said walked up to the pair before kissed Ohno on the cheek, “ ...and he is yours...For Now!” She yelled then sprinted down the hall.
“NORIKO!!” Mizumi yelled, and was going to chase her when Sho shook his head and went after her. He grabbed her around the middle and pulled her to his chest.
“You better had been joking.” He said kissing her cheek.
Noriko turned around in his arms, “Hai, you’re the only one I want…Sho-kun.” She said kissing him, and they both continued to the Gym.
~4th quarter~
Aiba had sweat running down the sides of his face as he tried to find an open player. He was being double team and the guys weren’t letting up. He saw a player on the other time grab at Akira before she spun out of his grip.
Aiba faked left before Akira shot past him and he sent her a bounce pass. There was a minute left before the game was over and they were down by four. Akira, caught the ball and shot a layup and smirked with it went in nothing but net.
The crowd cheered when Akira smiled and them, running back over to her position she looked at Aiba who looked at the couch and called a time out.
Aiba ran to the couch nodding a few before looking surprised as they were huddled around.
“We can win, I don’t want this game to go on any longer.” He said,
“Aiba you are better at three pointers and since they are guarding you harder than the rest it will be your job to try and break a way before getting in a shot.” The couch continued.
Aiba nodded once and looked at Akira, they had been practicing for this, they knew this team liked to always cover Aiba, so they nodded and got back in The game.
The other team had the ball and was doing their best to run out the clock. Aiba saw an opening and stole the ball, He started to dribble down the court and soon he was in front of the basket, but two guys were blocking him once more. He saw Akira move from the corner of his eye, and spun and passed it to her.
Just as predicted they went after Akira leaving Aiba unguarded. Akira passed the ball back to Aiba from behind her back, he caught it and went up with a shot just as the clock ran out.
The ball hit the side of the rim, before bouncing to the other side, and slid in the basket.
Aiba jumped up in happiness, “YATTA!” he screamed and his team tackled him, Akira included.
They had just won the winter finals.
The team was presented a trophy and Aiba gave it to Akira who shook her head, the whole team cheered and yelled in happiness. Nino rushed at Akira and picked her up sweat and all he didn’t care, he kissed her with a smile on his face. Noriko, Sho, Jun, Shizuko, Mizumi and Ohno were all congratulating them.
Aiba scanned the people sitting in the stands and saw Yori making her way down to the court.
He ran over to her smiling and sweaty in his Jersey.
“Yori-sempai!” he yelled,
She looked at him in surprise before smiling at him. “Konnichiwa Aiba-san omedetou!” she said,
Aiba looked at her and breathed out, “boku no daisuki desu Yori-chan…daisuki desu!” he said looking at her.
Yori’s eyes lit up, “hontou?” she said softly,before shaking her head in disbelief.
Aiba nodded and grinned, “HAI! DAISUKI DESU!” he yelled pulling her from the steps into his arms.
“Watashi wa daisuki desu Masaki-kun.” Yori said smiling, as she looked at him.
Aiba couldn’t take that look so he kissed her, pulling her closer to his sweaty body.
Noriko saw them, and smiled she turned to tell the others, but Nino and Aikira were still kissing and celebrating, Mizumi was kissing Ohno who liked slightly stunned but happily kissed her back with a small grin on his lips, and Jun and Shizuko looked close enough to kiss, though Noriko wasn't actually sure they would.
“What the hell!” Noriko said stomping her foot, “everyone is kissing!”
Sho looked at her and then looked around, “Well, not everyone.” He said looking at her.
Noriko didn’t see his look, “Hai! Everyone-”
Sho kissed her and she slowly pulled away from him, “Okay…Now everyone is kissing.” She said smiling as she looked up at him, she closed her eyes still smiling, ‘this is my future…no longer is the threat and secret of my past hanging over me…I can live with this future a brighter one ahead of me…with him by my side.’ She thought as Sho held her tighter.
“Domo.” She said looking at him smiling.
“iie…domo for coming into my life, Noriko-chan…” he said smiling, “Daisuki desu.”
“Hai…Daisuki desu.” She said as he placed his forehead on hers, “Zutto Daisuki desu.”
