you found DVDs of the SWATkats? AT LEAST YOU GOT SOME. They are bootlegs! Still hasn't officially been released to DVD. I want to rewatch it in HQ right now.

The second season opening was so kickass. Also, that music is a total earworm and it's stuck in my head right now.

I didn't like the name of the main baddie. They couldn't come up with something more original than "Dark Cat"?!?!?

Gimme the Pirates of Dark Water any day tho!

HEY! That's Dark Kat with a 'K'. That makes it KOOL!

Dude I am so going on a 90's television spree. SWAT Kats, Talespin, Darkwing Duck ... they just don't make 'em like that anymore!

IT WAS SO AWESOME. Also, I forgot to mention CITYWIDE DESTRUCTION and EXPLOSIONS. Lots and lots of that!

FUCK YEAH. I am all awash in most righteous flashbacks now <33 Given how so many of my favorite childhood shows had anthropomorphic animals in them, it really is a wonder I didn't turn into a furry XDD

After gushing over this retro rediscovery a few months ago, it was an awesome surprise to see this post. Excuse me while I squee~ <3

I'm still on a 90's cartoon binge myself actually, though I'm focusing on Disney Afternoon shows (and getting my little cousin to watch them with me, heehee). It seems like they're making a small comeback of their own; Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers are getting new stories in comic books. Also, when I learned that Ducktales was based on the Uncle Scrooge comics, I checked them out for myself. Scrooge is an utter badass jerk with a heart of gold and if you've ever thought well of this character at all, The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck is a must!
