Anyway, this: I'm glad I convinced you to write this. ♥

Atem's jaunt into the door, and how much it pains him to not just turn around and cry and run back into everyone's arms, is lovely. Like I mentioned in IM, the balance in the exchange is very well-struck: how being his most precious thing, he's swayed to thinking it's a thing. Being a gamer, he should know better than to take something like that at face value, especially considering how evasive Crowley the Reaper is being in regards to the rules. Being rushed as he is, though, it's understandable -- hey, it takes them six damn episodes to realize the perfect card to play in a duel, when they should have every card in their deck memorized.

Anyway. The balance struck between the importance of his name and the importance of Yuugi is wonderful. Neither "thing" is given too much of the focus, though as soon as Crowley the Reaper said 'most precious thing', I'd guess that everyone would instantly think Yuugi.
