CCSAnime!Syaoran is Tsubasa!Syaoran.
Real!Syaoran from Tsubasa weilds a sword identical to Syaoran's sword in the Card Captor Sakura anime, but not the manga.
PICTURE EVIDENCE:
Syaoran's sword in Tsubasa. This is one of the best pictures I could get; in the closeups it's always all shimmery and stuff because Syaoran just pulled it out of his hand (HE SHEATHES HIS SWORD IN HIS BODY LIKE ARASHI HAHA)
Syaoran's sword in Card Captor Sakura anime. Note that it has the same flare t the crossguard, the same set of jewels, the same hilt and pommel.
by comparison:
This is Syaoran in the CCS manga. Note that the sword design is markedly different, more round at the crossguard and with a single, green jewel setting.
ALSO: Syaoran's sword in the anime is sheathed in the charm that hangs from the end of his sword. Similarly, Syaoran's sword in Tsubasa is sheathed magically, inside his body. There is no indication in the CCS manga that Syaoran has access to his sword magically.
On a simliar note, Syaoran's fascination with archeology is anime canon, not manga canon. In the anime, Fujitaka (Sakura's father) gives a speech at the school about archeology, and an eagerly curious Syaoran comes up to ask questions after the presentation is over. And as we all know, TsubasaClone!Syaoran has Fujitaka for a father, and he loves archeology (an aspect of his personality derived from Syaoran's soul inside him).
The evidence keeps piling up! ho ho ho ho ho
