Ok, my pictures kind of suck - it's hard to pull back your fat and take a picture in bad light. But uh...I think I'm going to go to the doc tomorrow just in case. I'm going to call and see if Target's minute clinic deals with this.

I really have no idea what shingles really is. Even after reading about it.

I used to think it had something to do with diarreah!

it's adult chickenpox. Chickenpox is like mono and stays in your system forever. You can get a 2nd onset of the same virus due to a weakened immune system and they call that shingles (this also happens with mono, but the 2nd time around mono is still called mono). Also like mono, it's a part of the herpes family of viruses.

I found this crap out when my sister was misdiagnosed with mono and my mom was like "DON'T GO NEAR HER!" and I was like "I can't be reinfected, it's like chicken pox" and someone told me about shingles and I went and looked and discovered mono is exactly like chickenpox. It's not that you're reinfected, it's that your immune system is weakened.

I don't know if that is shingles, but my aunt had it and she wasn't too happy about it. Then they got a bird and my uncle named it Shingles.

shingles is a reoccurance of the chicken pox virus, because your body never really kills it. it usually happens in larger quantities, and it hurts and itches and burns and weeps and is generally gross and uncomfortable.

you should go to the doc.

I think for nothing else other than piece of mind knowing you had it looked at, it's a great idea to get it looked at. Plus they'll probably give some perscription cream or something to help it heal faster.
I hope that they can figure out what it is, and that it heals soon!
