*snugs*

I'm really hoping and wishing that Dr. Allen can get a transplant. Things like that shouldn't happen to people like her. :(

I kinda drew something for you today! The key word being 'kinda'. I might have to redraw it again. Or just give up with that idea and start on something else... :)

Thank you very much. *hugs*

Eeee! I'm very excited! Also, the necklace arrived a few days ago! It's just as gorgeous as it looked in the picture and I love it! I wore it to work and I think every single person who saw me complimented me on it and were impressed when I told them that a friend had made it. The little kids, especially. I couldn't stop feeling it all day. BUMPY BEEDS!

I, uh, might write you fic to make up for the drawing, lol. I'm glad the necklace got to you okay and that you like it! :D

*hugs* I saw you comment about having to work on Christmas! :( I'll be thinking about you! *hugs again*

#1 and #2 are very sweet and I hope they do come true.

I don't suppose you can come to Japan in March? The door is always open at the in_Japan house! :)

I found out today that I'm going to be working all day on Christmas, so I'm guessing they think there will be people at the shelter : ( I can't decide which would be more depressing: being by myself at the shelter for twelve hours on Christmas or being with people who had nowhere else to go on Christmas. I'm still leaning towards the latter, though.

I don't suppose you can come to Japan in March?I've actually been bugging Mina about this. "You know where we should totally go in March? Japan!" Her job and everything are so up in the air though, so we can't make definite plans. I think I would feel more comfortable flying there with a companion. Neither one of us knows Japanese, but at least we can be totally lost and overwhelmed together? That said, I'm not completely adverse to the idea of coming by myself ( ... )

March is actually a good time to come out here as well! Well, the weather isn't the best, but it's still our spring vacation, so we'd have time to travel around with you a bit as well! (You'd want to travel...Nagoya is not at all a tourist town--just lots and lots of concrete).

I'll be thinking of you on Christmas and kind of hoping you're more or less alone! Um, maybe you can spend it reading Yuletide fics? I know you can't do Skype there, but are web pages still okay?

Speaking of roadtripping, would you be interested in possibly going on an overnight trip to Cleveland sometime soon to see Dr. Allen? My mom was talking to a couple at the country club (my mom is, like, a socialite now) that had visited her recently. It could be fun!

Thank you for the offer to be my inexpensive adventure companion! I still have a few options at this point, but I'll hopefully be able to solidify my plans in the next month or so. Maybe I can just move in with you for a week :P

(Also, omnibus is actually already plural in Latin, so adding an i at the end would be a bit awkward! ~*The more you know*~)

SPARKLY SHOOTING STAR! Thank you! This is way I should have taken Latin in high school.

Okay, your little Hikaru icon is the cutest thing I've seen all week.

Maybe in mid-January we could go?

That sounds like a plan! Hopefully she won't still be there because she'll have received a heart, but if she is, we can go!

Go see the ocean or something!

Ooh! That's a great idea! I've still never been to the for-real ocean, just the Channel. It wouldn't take that long to drive somewhere on the east coast.

Well, I have absolutely no good reason why someone would want to come to Upstate NY in spring...but maybe I'll be in DC by then? Wherever I am, you're welcome to come crash on my couch if you're hard-up for adventure. ;)

Because I have never been to upstate NY in the spring!

Thank you very much for the offer! I'll have to discuss things with my mom and weigh my options.

I love DC in the spring. Why might you be going there? A job offer?

Also, you should totally email me your mailing address.

Ah, a girl after my own heart. Actually these days March might not be too bad. Back before global warming it was still snowy, but now it'll probably just be rainy. It's nicer in lilac season and the fall. But once the yucky cold goes away there's a fair bit to do around here - bunch of museums, the dryden (obscure old movies), lots of concerts. Another fangirl said we had the Gotham City of cemeteries. :D Niagra Falls is a couple hours away, an hour past that is Toronto. In the other direction are some cute little towns and the Corning Glass Museum is pretty awesome. We have a lot of wineries, but...March...

DC is definitely my favorite place to be in the spring so far. I don't have a job offer there yet (I must confess I've been lazy about applying) but for my rather specific field it's really the only place to go (other than NYC, which I hate). And I really liked it there, it has a completely unique energy to it. Also, Smithsonian = Love.

I think that was me? Although if multiple people said it, I wouldn't be surprised, lol. I'm sorry I never answered your other comment! But yes, Rochester is cool. :) And I agree that the DC area is beautiful in the spring time (of course I'm biased since I grew up around there :D).

All right, I'll stop stalking you and agreeing with your taste in cities now, LOL.

You always have such wonderful wishes, Caroline. I really hope #1 and #2 come true! I just saw your comment to Jen about working on Xmas, though ... man, that sucks, even if the shelter is empty!

#4 - I see you already have a lot of options, but you're always welcome to come back to NYC. :) Err, that wouldn't be something new, lol, and I'd be working, but I'd be happy to have you if you wanted to come. :)

And Christmas cards! I was already planning on, uh, sneakily sending you one. =P And I would love one from you, of course. I think you have my address, but I can email it to you if not. :)

I have to work on New Years Eve too! Maybe I can bring some sparkling apple juice that night?

I think my mom is kind of upset, but it really doesn't bother me that much. We have a DVD player at the shelter now, so I think I might bring a bunch of movies or something. They can't expect me to do actual work on Christmas, even if I have to be there :P

#4 - I see you already have a lot of options, but you're always welcome to come back to NYC.Thank you so much! Um, do you know how far you have to go from NYC to find some sort of beach? It will obviously be too cold to swim, but I've never been to the actual ocean before (Apparently, swimming in the English Channel doesn't count) and this would be a good opportunity to rectify that. And I feel like NYC is always new, just because you can never do everything. Mina and I never made it to MOCCA or the Natural History Museum. We could attempt to see a Broadway show again and ( ... )
