Lindsay and I went to a performance at OU's School of Music tonight. The group was called Biakuye Unity Ensemble, which is kind of redundant because "biakuye" translates as "unity", but we'll ignore that. The group consisted of a man from Ghana, a man from Senegal, and two white American guys, one of whom is the Director of Percussion Studies at OU ( Read more... )

*cackles* The guy trying to teach Kwanzaa is funny. And Santa -- nobody had santa's back!

This might interest you: I'm working on a comic about an incident at work Saturday. Here's a hint: It involves Gary. Did you ever have to deal with him? *cackles*

I probably had to deal with Gary, but I'm not sure who he is. Can you describe him?

He wears glasses, has some acne scars on his face, usually wears a button-up shirt of some kind. He's a nice enough fellow, but he always talks about the books he is writing. And it wouldn't be so bad, but he never asks how the other person is or how their day was... he'll just walk right up and start immediately talking about his book and nothing else.

He keeps expecting to get a huge publishing deal and talks about what he plans to do with all the money.

Ring any bells? ^_~

Hmm. I still don't recall him. But perhaps I will recognize him from your comic. It sounds awesome! Especially because you can draw and stuff.

I'm so glad you mentioned Friendly Hostility recently in your blog. I've been having fun the past few days reading it from the very beginning. I still have some catching up to do, but I'm almost at the year 2006 in the archive ^_^

You're welcome! Isn't it awesome? I've been reading it since the beginning and it's hard for me to believe it's been going on for so long. I really like Fox's sister, Fatima.

Remind me to lend you an issue of "Keenspot Spotlight" from a couple of years ago. Sandra did a short "Foxman" story for it ^_^

I adore Fatima. ^_^ And the demon... and Boots (lol, poor Boots)... in fact, all of the characters are fun!
