A Rogue Librarian

I'm one of the probably few people who have managed to injure themselves by going to a group meditation class. Technically, it was before the class, but still. I was helping the instructor set up by pulling out these giant room dividers from the walls and I smashed my fingers in between them. I now have bruises under my fingernails on one hand. {tries not to snort-laugh} Poor Caroline!!

"Excuse me, miss--those are nasty bruises on your hand. How did you injure it?"

"Oh, at a Group Meditation Class."

^_~ I hope it's at least not the hand you write with!

Ugh, State of the Union Address. I would like to watch that so that I might be up to date with the state of things... but the voice of "Dubya" makes me want to go to the Amazon jungles and suck on the tongue of every tribeperson until I contract amoebic dysentery and die from explosive diarrhea. Yes. I hate Bush that much.

It makes me sad that Christian homosexuals feel ousted by most of their own fellow-believers...

Thankfully, the injury was incurred by my non-dominate hand, so at least I'm not having problems writing.

The only way I'm able to watch the State of the Union address is to make fun of it. I was hanging out in my friend Ashlee's room because I don't have a TV. She was working on homework or something and I kept saying things like "I think John McCain's asleep" or "I think Dick Chaney just picked a wedgie." I don't know why she puts up with me...

The prejudice against GLBT people among Christians is a lot better than it was in 1992, fortunately. There are two churches in Chillicothe, St. Paul's Episcopal and Orchard Hill United Church of Christ, that are openly friendly towards gay men and lesbians. I know of several here in Athens too ^_^
