"They're all made of ticky-tacky..."

First of all, I have a incredibly late birthday present for my dear friend and name-twin, starsandsea. It was inspired by her Bruce/Clark ficlet Shower from way back in April.

Well, that and an episode of NPR's Earth and Sky...

It's not much, just a tiny poem, but I hope you like it, Star! *hugs*

Love Poem to Clark
You were created in the heart of an exploding star,
Forged in immeasurable heat and unbearable light,
The atoms that make up your invulnerable hand, your infinite heart,
Brought to Earth (to me) through incalculable years and endless space,
Somehow, through the grace of God.
The universe is in you and
You are in the universe and
My universe is in you.

I got wonderfully messy making biscuits from scratch today. By the time I was finished, I was covered in flour and little sticky bits of dough, but I was so proud of myself! Sometimes, being a grown-up is hard (like when you have to unstop the toilet because you accidentally flushed a tube of lip gloss), but most of the time, it's really rewarding.

Aren't they beautiful? I got the recipe from GQ.

According to my lease, I'm supposed to hang pictures and posters using sticky tack instead of tape. I bought a package of it the other day and started sculpting things:

A bat, an owl, and a snail. Doom does not approve.
My mom said "Caroline, that stuff isn't meant to be used as a medium for artistic expression." I say fah! Everything is a medium for artistic expression.

Wow. Poetry, biscuits, and tack-sculptures all in one day. I'm a Renaissance woman!
