Does banh chung need to go in the fridge? It wasn't in the fridge at the market, but I'm kind of hesitant to leave it outside because it has meat in it.

Yes, it does. You can keep it in the fridge for up to a week. And if you want it to keep longer, you can always slice it and pan fry it.
