The news from Japan is so scary and horrifying! So much destruction and suffering thanks to the earthquake, it's aftershocks and the tsunami that swept along the Eastern coastline. I've found Twitter to be excellent source of news. I don't personally know anybody in the affected aread, but if any of you have friends or family in the area, I hope ( Read more... )

I agree! I've been watching since last night and it's just insane. The amount of destruction. DD: The footage being shown looks like its from a movie.. scary to imagine that this is rl. I still haven't heard back from my friend in Japan. But she's near Tokyo so i'm thinking she would be okay just phones and such are down/unreliable atm. I hope we will get news about Tsubasa soon!

:/ really hope he is! I just read from flister in Japan that "it seems to have calmed down in the Kanto/Tohoku region". Good sign there.
