I'm looking forward to your comments on the screenings! I'm jealous - Nic's parents were visiting during our international film festival in April, so I had to forgo seeing a single film this year. :( I was happy they were visiting, but I'm still a bit sorry for missing the entire festival.

I saw The Hurt Locker in the theater recently and I loved it, but I also adore Generation Kill (the HBO series) - the two have a similar feel to me. Still Walking is in theaters here right now, so I'll be seeing that soon - it looks absolutely gorgeous and the reviews have been excellent. I would love to see Red Cliff on the big screen just for the pretty!

Have lots of fun!

I haven't seen Generation Kill and I usually tend veer far away from war movies/series, but The Hurt Locker sounded like a very interesting take on the Iraqi situation.

Based on the DVD of Red Cliff I, both movies are probably going to look fantastic on the big screen! There were quite a few scenes that just looked gorgeous but did nothing to further the story.

Darn! I'm going to miss this once again. But... on the other hand I'm in Korea so I guess it sort of compensates. ;P

A trip to Korea is probably going to be well worth missing a few movies... :)
