i was waiting for you to get up to that episode where takki molests/kisses the mom. i went :00000000 when i first watched it and it squicked me out so much.

i must've missed the part where they explained how that guy was shinji's dad. i spent the whole drama wondering "who is this weird guy? and what does he have to do with the plot?"

oh! haha! thanks for the reminder about the ending. i totally forgot the part where she goes psycho. all i remembered was that eiko goes running to do something and gets hit by a car.

IIRC, the family relationship with Shinji and that guy was revealed fairly early, probably in the engagement/birthday party episode where Tatsuya jumped into the pool to get Yuki's ring.
