I forget...is Stand Up! the one with Yamapi and Shun where a bunch of boys fall(I think) for a childhood friend who returnsafer being away for years? (I think that's one I was interested in a while back, but it wasn't subbed then)

Yes, that's the one. Nya has now subbed it up till episode 9, but there is also a VCD version of it available, which I understand has a bit more questionable subs.

It's Yamapi and Nino who fall for the childhood friend and Shun and the other guy whose name I can never remember are just being horny teenaged boys, though with some good moments as well :).

Shun as a horny teenaged boy? Sounds...odd.

Oh yes, he's very much a horny teenager (well, 17) in this :). Very goofy, gangly, awkward, but still sometimes very understanding, smart and mature for his drama age.

The thing about this drama is that the premise might sound offputting, but the execution is so good, showing the confusion, embarrassment and awkwardness of that age while still being very realistic at times. Even though there are plenty of comedic touches, there is some tragedy as well.

nice gift for yourself!

I didn't like Stand Up o_0 When I was watching it, there were only 6 episodes subbed, but since everyone kept raving about how good it was, I downloaded it anyway. There were some funny and cute bits, but I couldn't stand Chie and it got draggy for me so after a few episodes, I skimmed through the rest. >_

Well, tastes differ :). I quite enjoy it and am hoping that Nya would release the subs for the last two episodes soon, since it looks like they've gotten back to subbing it after taking such a long break from it.
