Any time a LKH fan-former or present-mentions her, I end up happy I never got around to picking up her books.

SP...*shakes head* You and mousie(not that it's a bad thing and certainly isn't one to talk)

The first books were good, but at some point Hamilton lost it and ditched the plot in order to write one bad sex scene after another. Her ego has also bloated out of all proportion and all criticism from her former fans is just a personal attack against her. :P *bitter*

SP is fun :). Aine is such a Mary Sue :D.

The sad thing is that LKH's popularity means a lot of other urban fantasy writers follow her example. *glares at Kim Harrison*

SP sounds too much like "ooo...trashy" for me, but like I said I can't really talk as I tend to be all "Weird? Swords? Where? wantwantwant!"

The sad thing about LKH is that the she did write very entertaining and books once. I know there are quite a lot of fans of the earlier Anita books, and until quite recently I used to belong to an LJ community called lkh_lashouts that is filled with bitter ex-fans.

I will just have to pretend that she never wrote anything else in the series after Obsidian Butterfly...
Good plan, that. I stopped reading the series after Narcissus in Chains.
