So, I watched the first episode of The Liar Game. In the story, a not too bright young girl named Nao (Toda Erika) unwittingly enters something called The Liar Game, where all the players are given a 100 million yen initial stake and the object of the game is to steal your opponent's 100 million. If you lose your own money, you'll have to pay it

For a bit of amusement: Arashi's new ep cap with their horrible birthday lines. :P http://sumoboy.livejournal.com/94927.html#cutid1

LOL, those were hilarious :D. That show seems pretty entertaining, if I only could understand everything they are saying.
I really hope Lovesong comes up with the subs fast, because I could tell that I was missing quite a lot of things while watching the ep as a result of not understanding what they were saying :P. But I'm so impatient to watch this that I'll probably continue watching the raw first and then the subbed version whenever it's available.
However, in Bambino's case I think I'll wait until there are subs available, because IIRC, it's going to be softsub anyway and those usually come out faster than hardsubs.

Last time I check Lovesong was at 50% translation so that seems pretty good to me. I'm hoping that it would be out this weekend because just looking at your caps is killing me!
I think Bon's Fansubs is doing soft and hard sub for it. Then there's Arashi's Vox (she did Hanadan too but I preferred lily @ jland since shes professional subber and native japanese speaker)is also doing subs for it. Arashi's Vox:all I know is she taught herself Japanese since she loved Arashi so much (HARDCORE FAN!) so I'm not sure if her subs are as good. I always feel bad for saying that since it's really biased but I feel like if the subber is native speaker and such they would have better understanding of the language. Too much babbling. :P

Sounds good! I just hope someone ups the hardsubbed version as well as the softsubs, because I've noticed that when people post at jdramas, there's very often only the soft version available, because quite a lot of people seem to prefer them.
A friend who studied Chinese at the Helsinki University has told me that A LOT of young people nowadays enter the Asian languages department because they have become interested in anime, manga, jpop, etc.
I quite agree with you that native speakers can be better at catching all the nuances of a language and thus better able to translate it. However, a good knowledge of the target language is also needed in order to convey all those nuances to the target audience. (*cough* Sorry for getting academic. I used to study English at the university before I dropped my studies.)

On a shallow note: How hot does Yamapi look in this drama?! If I was Rei I would so get with Yamapi...
He looks awesome and VERY sexy in his tux.
LMAO at the 'hallelujah' and beer sniffing. I think this will be my favourite jdrama this year :P
Damn my Proposal Daisuken dl is only at 72%. I want it NOW XD

This dramas looks so good that I think I'll continue getting it raw and then rewatch it once the subs are out :D.
Re download: I know how you feel. I kept refreshing my f-list page well into the night on Monday waiting for somebody to upload it into a server I can use. I was sooo impatient waiting to get home from work yesterday, so that I could finally watch both of these XD.
