The most recent object of dorama bingeing was Nobuta wo Produce, starring Yamashita Tomohisa, Kamenashi Kazua and Horikita Maki. I had already seen the first two episodes before this, so there were only 8 episodes to watch.
I loved Nobuta too :) And yeah, I agree with you that the ending was bittersweet. But I think their frienship still remains strong despite the distance.

Yes, and that's why I said this series was more about friendship and growing up than about romantic love. Akira's crush on Nobuko was very realistic considering their age in the series (17, I think), but he didn't let it get in the way of their friendship after his brief moment of jealousy in episode 7. The friendship between the three of them was stronger than any obstacles that were thrown in their way.
