YAY!!! The
Helsinki Metropolitan Library system has finally got copies of Janet Evanovich's Twelve Sharp available!!! *rushes to make a reservation*
ETA: BTW, a very interesting discussion on how the roles of Joe and Ranger play in the series have shifted through time can be found
here.

And that was a very interesting discussion. I do hope the people saying that Evanovich will end the series with Stephanie settling down with Joe and conservative housewifery are wrong. Though our house is split - B. is rooting for Joe and I'm so hoping for Ranger. I'm not actually sure how long I think Evanovich can keep the triangle going without it getting tired - but I'd never have thought this long a bunch of books ago!

I'm still ambivalent on who Stephanie should choose, because though Joe seems the "safe" choice, Ranger occasionally seems almost too dangerous (thinking of that one book where he actually kills a man because he hurt Stephanie).
Still, it's amazing how long Evanovich has managed to keep alive the tension between Stephanie and her two men without falling into a rut. I think she will have to make some kind of a decision fairly soon now, because she can't keep her readers waiting and waiting for something to actually be decided.
