YAY!!! The Helsinki Metropolitan Library system has finally got copies of Janet Evanovich's Twelve Sharp available!!! *rushes to make a reservation*

ETA: BTW, a very interesting discussion on how the roles of Joe and Ranger play in the series have shifted through time can be found here.

Oh gosh - didn't even think to start looking for Twelve Sharp! Yay!

And that was a very interesting discussion. I do hope the people saying that Evanovich will end the series with Stephanie settling down with Joe and conservative housewifery are wrong. Though our house is split - B. is rooting for Joe and I'm so hoping for Ranger. I'm not actually sure how long I think Evanovich can keep the triangle going without it getting tired - but I'd never have thought this long a bunch of books ago!

I remembered that it was around this time last year when Eleven on Top came to the library, so I knew to check on their system every now and then for Twelve Sharp :).

I'm still ambivalent on who Stephanie should choose, because though Joe seems the "safe" choice, Ranger occasionally seems almost too dangerous (thinking of that one book where he actually kills a man because he hurt Stephanie).

Still, it's amazing how long Evanovich has managed to keep alive the tension between Stephanie and her two men without falling into a rut. I think she will have to make some kind of a decision fairly soon now, because she can't keep her readers waiting and waiting for something to actually be decided.
