This is adorable to the nth degree! Even as babies there's a connection between them. Is it a bit of foreshadowing when the queen is apprehensive of the prince's future loyalties? Is that where some of the drama will come from? I see you've posted chapter two so I'll go read that now.

One thing that did make me stop was the Japanese name convention you used. To me regency (even regency-ish as you called it (new word!)) means England and the west and all that stuffiness. But you used the Japanese name convention rather than the western one. So it threw me for a loop. Any particular reason for that? :)

This is not really regency because I converted it into my own world. The setting is more like a west meets easts thing where they use cushions over chairs, chopsticks over forks and knives, but they do have the European titles - all in my own world.(Idea comes from this book that I've read.) And I have personal qualms about having to change/remove the Japanese honorifics, especially the ones concerning family so I didn't remove it. You will get to explore the world more, I hope!

Your own world! How interesting. I noticed in the second chapter that you kept 'oneesan' and 'aniki' (which still coming from Yuuta's mouth is the cutest ever) but your reason makes total sense. It's not that I didn't like it but I found it peculiar. Thank you for answering me. Of course I'll continue to read the series. I'm intrigued now on the whole "My Royal Highness" name and I want to see how their relationship will go from being friends to lovers. :D
