I don't know why I just heard about this today, but Nic is a great friend of mine, this worries the hell out of me. I've known Nic for years and know she's not one to shy away from a difficult situation, and at the same time know that she is very able, tough even when it comes to it. I hope you hear from her soon, as I hope I do too. My best guess outside of the government would be to try and get the media on the story to apply pressure on the gov't to get some results.
