I paid bills! I did laundry! I learned how Alton Brown makes a casserole without cream of mushroom soup. And after a week of no writing at all I wrote what appears to be a complete little flashfic. Anyone who has asked me how I'm doing has gotten some variation on "exhausted, sunburned, happy." This past weekend was my next-older brother's wedding in the UP of Michigan, and it was lovely and also entailed a lot of driving and a lot of busy days followed by not quite enough sleep. It was actually like a con that way.

I have a draft of the fairy tale story, for, uh, the third time? Or fourth? But it is just possible that this one makes sense. Why look! It is one of my favorite of my Christmas presents! It is a Nikon of some sort, and it is small and easy to use and red, and when I plug it into my computer the pictures get automagically downloaded, so it's exactly what I wanted in a digital camera. Oh, and it zooms, too!
