Tech help - program to seperate voices from other sound tracks

Dec 13, 2014 17:35

Hi there,

Does anyone know if there is a freeware or cheaper program that will separate audio from voice tracks in a video? I'm aware later versions of Sony Vegas can do it, but mine unfortunately cannot. Any help would be wonderful.

Thanks
xx

If you want to truly seperate voice from background sound you need the right source where all 4 or 5 audia tracks are seperate. I have only ever done it from DVD rips. Otherwise you can use pretty much any audio programme and try and 'fudge around' with various settings to make the voice stand out more.

Loki has made a tutorial, but there are many more around, depending on your needs - just google.

Have you tried using Audacity? I have used it on occasion to trim audio but I can't tell you how to extract the different sound tracks. It does do multiple tracks and I'm betting you can find a tutorial somewhere that would explain it.

Good luck!
