Yay! A True Blood vid!
This was awesome! It had such a nice sense of style and the song was kind of hilarious. You did a great job matching up clips with the lyrics (I especially liked the stuff for "the party's over" and "all of you accusing" towards the end.)

Thank you! I love this show (it's borderline obsessive) and I just wanted to catch a bit of the bizarre quirkiness that the show oozes with. I'm so glad you found the song choice humorous. I was afraid it would go over everyone's head. My idea of clever tends to be met with the chorus of crickets. lol

Me too. It's my new favorite show! I'm still trying to find more LJ peeps chatting about it. (Should probably join some comms.)
The song was great. So funny and unexpected but still very fitting in a more serious way for the alcoholic/vampirism parallels.

I'm toying with the idea of creating a TB comm. Still on the fence. But I can't recommend cleolinda's True Blood Recaps enough. Hilarity will ensue. You should definitely check it out. =)

I very much enjoyed the tongue-in-cheek humor and the darkly funny editing touches, like Sookie slipping on her gran's blood at 0:27. And of course, the alcoholic/vampire parallel is really appropriate!

Thank you! This is my first foray into vidding a cable series and I wasn't sure how the heavier material would sit with viewers. I absolutely love the show so I wanted to throw in both the darker and the lighter aspects of it. Plus, the song was just begging to be transformed into a vampiric blood-lusty vid. *grin*

Oh wow. I've been waiting for True Blood vids that weren't "Bill and Sookie 4evah <3 <3 <3 !!!111!!!!" to start showing up, and boy did you deliver! I really enjoyed the movement in this, the use of the song, and the choice of clips - from the basic use of the clips to the placement in the chronology of the vid. I liked the use of clips from the first few eps cropping up in areas which had been heavier with clips from the middle and end more. It really made me think that I've been a bit too chronological in my own vidding brain. It's a testament to what really good clip choice and placement should look like.

Thank you! I have to confess that I have one of those Bill and Sookie 4evah vids on the back burner. hee! It's not actually all that bad. It's going to be based on the exasperating side of the relationship. But I digress.

It really made me think that I've been a bit too chronological in my own vidding brain.

I suck at non-linear vidding. Not in reference to my software but to my editing skills. It is incredibly hard for me to use scenes in random order because I *know* they're out of order. It's something I've always struggled with so I'm immensely thankful to you for noticing and for commenting. And this reply has run on way too long. Thanks again, your comment really made my night. *hugs*

I enjoyed this so much! The flavor of the show that you've captured here makes me really really want to check it out. I've heard good things about it, and I knew it was pretty, but the quirkiness you've pulled out with this vid is really making me hit the tipping point. :D

Oh you must check it out! This show took me over completely and thoroughly. It is quirky and hysterical and displays epic moments of awesome (to steal a phrase coined by cleolinda). From the opening credits, musical score, dialog and blood sucking it excels far and above most television shows. Okay, can you tell that I love it?

I'm glad this vid helped push you a bit closer to becoming a viewer. You really won't regret it. =)

Oh, that was great fun! This was the first True Blood vid I've watched, after having totally fallen for the show earlier this year. I liked the playfulness and humour in this, especially since the dark absurdism of the tv show is one of my favourite things about it. Congrats!
