A while back, I ended up linking to the same articles over and over again in response to queries about vidding culture and history. So I decided to make a link set that would be short enough for someone to actually read (or skim) all of the links but with enough depth that they could really get their most fundamental questions answered.

This is really cool, thank you. I was actually just about to ask my flist about a specific video, and whether I should use my delicious "video" tag, or if it's viddy enough to use the "vid" tag. But I think I'll read your links first, and see if they present an answer for me.

I haven't been vidding for long and I don't really think I even knew why I did it before I read this post. It's weird to explain, but after reading all that I have such a different appreciation of what I do when I create a vid. Ty!
