Jul 05, 2009 22:11

It all started with my wanting a new car. It was time for me to get one - so I was prepared to go looking at the end of the year. Since I started working I have the money for a great down payment and I have a list of needs or must haves and wants or would really like. Then out comes this whole cash for clunkers thing and well I was kind of hoping ( Read more... )

I'm sorry your adventure has become such a pile of ick. I agree, and was thinking as I read, that hubby should be making up the difference between what he said he would take and what he actually took.

Sorry too that you are sans vehicle. My truck is my life, if I were without a car (when I'm without it) I go totally nuts - so I feel your pain.

*hugs*

Thanks - it is kind of freaky but I have his car - he is using the bicycle... not a problem on my part. New car not ready till Thursday at earliest - Friday latest.

I remember my mom pretty much handled all the finances because she didn't trust my dad with this sort of stuff!

Sorry you don't have a car though. Disruptions in routine suck, the cheese should NEVER be moved!

Oh. *hugs* That was really rotten of him to lie to you like that and I agree that he should pay the difference and also for all the ads you posted. And - frankly - apologize to you for rushing you through things.

Hugsses.

I hate being without a car of my own, and have been for a while now. We've got the van, and that's it, and it is about to need replacement, too, as the steering is getting weird.

Not being able to get just the car you wanted sucks. I have a short list of acceptable vehicles, none of which will really work where we live, thanks to the dirt roads that devour tires and destroy suspensions, and a second short list of "I can live with that" cars that could take these roads. I hate the van. I am not a van kinda gal.

I also feel your pain on the whole "I let him deal with it and look what happened." I let Tim find the van. It was, honestly, a mistake. It won't pass inspection, it gets crappy gas milage and the rear doors don't open, thanks to a broken handle. The windows don't roll down without a fuss, and up is even more annoying. The price was okay, but with all the issues, it wasn't a great idea.
