Challenge 35 Lark Rise To Candleford

Jun 25, 2009 00:15

I am a big fan of this series. I recently got S2 on dvd, so all of the caps come from that series, but I have tried to leave spoilers out for those in other countries that may not have seen S2 yet.

Entries Due by Monday July 6th Midnight DST. If we need more time I will extend.

You can fall in love at first sight with a place as with a person )

Gah, it's Cranford Revisited! LOL! ;-P I see Lydia Bennet/Jessie Brown/Julia Sawal-however-you-spell-it, and Brendan Coyle (HIGGINS!!!!), and is that Charlotte Lucas from P&P '05 I see?

I want to see this so bad, I hope it's good. *pouts*

ETA: What part of England is this set in?

The maid in it was Mary Bennett in Lost in Austen, it is almost a who's been in what, lol.

And yes that is Charlotte Lucas, she plays Emma Timmins

There is more info about the Author, and Lark Rise it seems is a real village in the sticks of Oxfordshire.

This is the BBC webpage for it, although I do not know how accessible it is for overseas. It really is a charming series that grows on you.

Hee hee, I love those types of dramas. Cranford is like that, and it's always so much fun, LOL!

Thank you! I didn't dare try to conjecture the location on my own just judging by the caps, ha ha.

although I do not know how accessible it is for overseas.

Not very! I'm mainly worried about going to a whole ton of trouble getting ahold of it, only to find out it isn't entirely "clean"... I don't want to get invested in a big long series only to be disappointed, you know?
