#39: Yep. That album grew quite a bit on me over time. I probably intend the latter part of that lyric a lot more literally than it was intended in the song, but not with any resentment intended toward my father.
One of the things I enjoyed most about Fear and Trembling was his discussion about how academics nor most preachers really try to understand faith with any depth. His version of Abraham is pretty hardcore.
