I'm going to simplify my confusion into one, and only one, question. The answer, the hard part, is up to you. Be concise.  The amount of focus it takes to write down my own symptoms on a napkin with a pen is tremendous.

And I don't feel much. Cool. Drugs, kids. They're something.

The animals have gone crazy and someone's released some kind of body switching thing on the City.

The animals are going insane, and my friend is being taken to the hospital because of... an attack of some sort.

I'm not sure... John was the one who found him, but he's really badly hurt.

If he dies he won't stay that way.

I didn't know that other people were incapacitated too.

I'd say its crime that can be compared with jaywalking. Punishable, maybe. But everyone and their grandma has done it.
