Good evening, good evening, good evening! I am doing this instead of finishing of my statement of purpose, but since it's nearly done I'm okay with having a break.
7, 8, 10 and 15 are just great. And number nine too, but it's quite different from the other pics. 9 and 15 remind of the 19th century literature (and, perhaps, fine arts, but I don't know much about it) tradition to try to expose character's inner world through small details like tiny gestures, or glances, or even items, and so forth. House's neck, jaw and mouth - and no eyes. Or House's stare in monochrome and with his forehead cut from the view. Such things make one to think about them and about the character, therefore, as I have already said, the icons are great :)
ps. If you, by chance, know the word, could you tell me? There is a philological term in russian to describe such details, but I can't find its translation into english.
Oh what a lovely insight into this style of icon creation, and you are right about looking at the little things and seeing insight into their character. I'm afraid I don't know the English term for it I'm afraid, but I can around if you would like.
