The puppy in question joins them then, and lays down, giving Sasha a 'Oh me oh my how I suffer pity me' look.

"I'm certain you could find other sport."

Nod and grin, grin and nod. And the hat sits undisturbed.

"I like it quite a bit, darling." She's smiling, but she still looks very curious. He's confused her now. And that's usually her job in a relationship, so she's not sure what to do.

They're both skilled at playing that game, so they'll both just have to get used to being confused. "You seem to be in a good mood. Have you and your fiancées decided on what to do with Ingress?" ...He probably wasn't quite supposed to know about that.

"We're not letting her leave unless it's safe, and even then, Door hasn't proven she's capable of raising a child." In other words, no. They're probably not letting Ingress go at all. "Of course Door will be welcome to visit whenever she likes, but I'm sure she'll understand this is best for Ingress right now. You needn't eavesdrop, you know."
