It is really not good if Oggie's winning an argument with logic, I don't think. And I never knew my gingerbread cookies were that good. I really don't want them fighting over me though.

I wonder where such a violent Red Riding-Hood comes from...

She has a sister that loves her and will want her back. Friends of her family in her world will probably want to see her again.

The way she says that makes it sound like she's really saying 'she'd better have a damn good reason', though.

She gives him a sad little smile. "If Door keeps being missing, Ingress will forget her, slowly. And in a few years, her whole world will be what she has here. And what argument would your lady be able to make then?"

"I found her, in fact. The other day." The marquis sighs. "If Ingress forgot her sister, why then, her sister would have no real claim to her, would she? But Door is interested in seeing her again, of course. And I doubt a girl who has seen most of her family murdered will forget any of them very quickly."

"Sometimes the human mind covers over those sorts of memory, makes it so a person doesn't know they happened at all..." she shrugs a bit. "I suppose it's a way of letting someone keep going when they're not strong enough to deal with what happened.
