What a busy day. I'm going to have to have a very long talk with whoever told Tharpe I have this week off.

I met a young man with a talking sword. They bicker like an old married couple.

I met Eric-the-bard's brother Magnus. He is so cranky. I hope he cheers up soon.

There's several time manipulators around. I'll have to see if any of them

Eric shrugs. "Well, Magnus... he's been through a lot."

"Lots of people have. Not everybody gives in to it."

[nybard]

"He's getting better. He just... doesn't trust easily."

[vicioussweetie]

"I don't see what that has to do with his being cranky."

That kid is Eric's brother? You'd never guess from the way he acts.

"Mmm, not like our own kids end up seeming at all related either, love. But yes. That kid is Eric's brother."

They did kinda... especially if you know us.

*shrugs* But I guess it's silly to expect families to act the same.

She nods a bit, wrapping her arms around him. "A little."

[reluctantbelief]

"Look, I'm sorry I didn't trust you. A lot of people acting nice have just been out to hurt me. But since Eric says you're cool..." He shrugs.

"I'm not upset that you didn't, and it's nothing to apologize for."

[reluctantbelief]

He shrugs.

Like Toucan Sam, Oggie followed his nose to where Maxim-smell and baking-smells converged, poking his head through a door in the process (well, opening the door and poking his head through the opening; normally, that would be obvious, but with Oggie it's best not to assume).

And he finds...a room. With an Ali in it. She doesn't seem to have noticed him yet.

"Ooh, dis iz vhere Maxim gets der gingerbread?"

"It is. Hello Oggie." She smiles over at him. "How are you?"

"Obsttorte?" It sounds as if this is an idea the marquis has not heard in some time.

((...Yum.))

She smiles brightly to him. "Yes. Is there anything special you'd like me to make?"

((Yeah. I love tortes.))

"Nothing in particular." He shrugs. "I haven't had obstortte in a very long time. However, if you're looking for different recipes, you may like to try beignets or galettes."

[vicioussweetie]

She smiles, fully intending to make those for him now, because why would he suggest them if he didn't like them? "Thank you for the suggestions, darling. How have you been?"
