Ali's outfit includes sunglasses. The others are each offered a pair, if they'd like?
They can make it out of the hotel. The lobby, while expansive and grand, has the sort of air that makes particular sorts of acting out unthinkable. A couple of people walk into furniture though. It's very painful-sounding when they land on the other side.

Maybe the unrelenting attention will be good for her? Because it's certainly living up to its name, once they're out on the street.
Ali uses her little tourist's guide to the city as a way to ignore the more obnoxious people. "Well, that depends on the neighborhood, Aramis. Chinatown is big and old and full of exotic things, Castro has pretty Victorian houses, Fisherman's Wharf has historic ships and I think an aquarium, the Mission District is the Hispanic neighborhood, Haight-Ashbury sells nostalgia to wannabe hippies, Nihonmachi has lots of Japanese shops and restaurants, Nob Hill has fantastic views, North Beach is largely Italian...
