Saving the World [selectively open, please use common sense]

She sat back, panting and staring at the work she and Haldir had done. Before her was a huge tree, silver-grey of bark and silver-green of leaf. Golden leaves covered the ground, and her, like a mantle, barely even disturbed by the careful plucking-out of the first crop of nuts.

Her hands and pockets were full of them. Shining and silver and magic. Salvation, if she survived long enough to enjoy it... She wouldn't, couldn't worry about that now. There was too much to do, and too little time. She just needed to get up, first.

Any minute now.

Ali fell back, folding her hands on her chest and staring at the sky. It was a nice day out. Was the sky bluer? Were those birds doing an aerial conga line? It was possible.

She kept watching the birds, and waited to see who would show up first. Oh look, a puppy-shaped cloud.

((I'm going to say Haldir's gone, since Haldir'mun is barely ever around and I'd like this plot to progress in the next month.))

haldir, saving the world, court
