Samhain is coming. There were so many more things I wanted to have done by now...at least I've managed to show Jas a few places. He really likes one of them.

Speaking of...Jas. Who made you that cake? I need to know who to hurt with whom to discuss something. Spider told me about the fight.

The cake was a gift from Mr Monk. Brigham. *his eyes are lowered*

"I see." She pulls him into a hug. She's not really mad at him, since she suspects the cake had something to do with his bad behavior.

"Spider told me you were acting strangely."

*He is somewhat relieved: it's good she isn't angry with him, because any amount fo her anger can't possibly compare to the anger he is nurturing at himself over the whole event. It had been so tempting. So much strength, no possibility of losing.....to a man whose whole life had consisted of nothing but constant, repetitive defeats for so many years, it had been too much. And Spider's youth and cockiness had been just too familiar...Bad form!*

He is very generous if that is all he said.
