"I'm glad you like it." She slips her arms around him. "It's about Clara. Have you met her?"

*He leans against her a little and puts his arms around her.* Um... The one who used to be, like, six just a few weeks ago but now she's a teenager? And she wants to be a superhero?

She seems like a nice kid.

"That's the one." She nuzzles his hair. "She wants me to be her mom. And I want to be. She's lost her family twice already, and..." well, Ali won't really take no for an answer. "I know she's not that much younger than I am anymore, but..."

She holds out her hands, then tucks them behind her back to try and keep Sasha from worrying about the bandages. "Have you met Clara?"

Sasha sees the bandages and of course worries, but reminds herself that at least Ali's injuries are bandaged, whatever they are. "I do not believe so, darling, but you have spoken well of her, and I look forward to having that pleasure."

"Ah. I'd been hoping...well. Anyway. She and I have decided it'd be great if I adopted her. I'd wanted to when she was still little, and her being older now doesn't make her need a family any less. You know how much looking-after I needed at that age." She ducks her head for a moment. "She knows it's got to be a family decision, and she's really looking forward to meeting you."
