I hope everybody is staying warm. I'm nice and cozy in my dinky little apartment. Right now, Sunny East Lansing is experiencing this winter's coldest temperatures yet. Last I checked, it was 5° F with a wind chill of -5°. I can handle it well enough, but I am getting tired of hearing all the locals whine about it.

You must be really warm-blooded considering you're from Texas! I don't think I've ever met someone who likes cold as much as you do :-P

Yep. I'm weird like that. I was very cold my first winter up here in the mid-west. It only took me 1 or 2 years to become acclimatized to cold. I'm pretty sure that I have a well-established layer of fat under my skin that keeps me warm. I even keep the thermostat down in the 60's all winter long. This is why I'm so uncomfortable when we get into the late spring and summer months, and why I'm in agony when we get to the upper 80's in August.

the weather here has been off and on raining. i guess it went on for a week or so. for several days it even hailed, then it would clear up and hail/rain again. god - the people complained to no end. i kept telling them we need the rain and they should know better living in the east bay. well, apparently some areas out here even had tornado warnings. really weird. it's been overcast as of late, which i like. i don't mind the rain, i just hate driving in it. people out here don't know how to drive in severe weather.
you mentioned comcast - my dad switched from them to AT&T for the tv cable stations. my dad likes it so much better. very little to no complaints. the kids like that they can record tv programs for later.
what're you using now?

I am now a customer of Direct TV, and my basic channel list is expanded from what Comcast offered. For internet service, I now use "Spartan Net", which is available through my property management company.
