- I'm doing better than I was last week. Stuff drained. Going to see a surgeon very soon into the new year to determine whether or not I need surgery. There are apparently two types of surgery to fix my problem, and one has a two week recovery time and the other has an eight week recovery time. I don't know. *sigh ( Read more... )

i don't have a tag for this, dean hearts angel ass, oh wait i do have a tag for this, meet my id, i jumped on another bandwagon, oh gawd my brain

whichever route you take, just make sure you trust your surgeon. the first time I had one, my guy was an utter douche, & (I personally feel) he fucked it up. the 2nd time was much better, but the post-surgical treatment was rather painful. the 3rd time seems to have been the charm, though I'm not trying to scare you that you'll be as unfortunate as I have been in this department. good luck!

Yup, that was exactly my problem the first time. The surgeon was rude and sexist.

My issue is that this has been flaring up about once a month (though only to the point of actual pain twice), so it looks like I might have to look into a "full tunnel removal" rather than just a lancing. >_

yeah. each time I had it excised.. but what finally did the trick was removing the weird lining thing it created. it was like a goddamn alien in there. anyway, things have been good, & I've been starting to ride a bike again! there's hope, lady. keep hope alive!

'I almost feel like an adult.'
Oh, look at you, being an adult and stuff. Just don't make a habit of it ;)

If you need a cheerleader, I'd be happy to dust off my pompom :D

- write that Chuck/SPN crossover I've been wanting to write.
Can't wait to read it!

Good luck with the Manifesto rewrite. *knock on wood*

It's going slow, but it's going! I've been distracted by stupid things, like stupid tailbone problems and a video game called Fat Princess. /o\

I CANNOT WAIT FOR CHUCK TO COME BACK. Chuck/SPN crossover came from me realizing that Sam and Chuck were probably a Stanford at the same time, though a few years apart. I wanna play with that a bit.

"Lifting of the Veil" is a term for the apocalypse, methinks. XD

Indeed it is, I believe it's the literal translation of the Greek.

Yeah, I think Chuck was supposed to graduate in 2003, and Sam in 2006. It can work, though I'm sure they had rather different majors. I often imagine Sam majored in anthropology - sorta the real world equivalent of hunting research. XD Maybe they both took a seminar or something on law and the electronic domain.
