There are scary, scary things under every bed. It's a rule.

I've got a waterbed, and there's no way for anything to actually get under it. There are scary things under the bed in the spare bedroom, though.

My bed has a million posters under it, that I need to get on my wall. >__>

Ahhh, the bank. They love to shaft you to death.

It was actually the cable company. They added the fee onto my bill because the bank wouldn't approve the charge. Bank got nothing out of it. Kinda my fault, though, no matter how much it sucks. :(

Well, I dunno if it was really your fault, if the bank wasn't processing checks fast enough, and that was why they all piled up. Did the bank charge you at all, or was it just the cable company? My bank tends to charge me for their own failures. "What's this, we couldn't do shit fast enough? Here's a twenty dollar fee!"

Nope, it really was all me. They weren't checks - they were all online payments through the debit card that's attached to my checking account, or EFT payments, and the bank processes those immediately. It was the fact that all the companies I had sent payments to decided to charge them on the same day (car insurance, credit card payment, cell phone, gas bill, electric bill, big-ass grocery store trip, pet store trip, internet... Netflix... oy).

Actually, if they HAD been checks, I wouldn't have had an issue since there's no daily limit on paper checks. I have a confusing bank, but I bear them no ill will because they have bent over backwards for me in the past.

My lesson? I need to stagger paying my bills, rather than trying to get that satisfaction of paying them all and saying "I'M UP TO DATE WITH MY BILLS, WOOHOO!" It's not like they're all due on the same day. *headdesk*
